The President of Walt Disney World resort shared a social media post congratulating Josh D’Amaro on his recent ascension to the CEO spot of the Walt Disney Company.
Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle has taken to social media to congratulate Josh D’Amaro following Disney’s announcement that D’Amaro will become the next CEO of The Walt Disney Company.
Vahle shared his message on social media, praising D’Amaro’s leadership style and his strong connection with Cast Members, partners, and guests across the company.
Josh D’Amaro is the real deal – someone who genuinely connects with people, with strong leadership and a passion to carry Disney into the future. And as you can see from this photo, he is not afraid to have a little fun at work.
All of us at Walt Disney World congratulate Josh and send our best wishes as he begins his journey as CEO of The Walt Disney Company.
The post was accompanied with a candid photo of Vahle, D’Amaro, and other Disney cast members racing a group of remote controlled astromech and BB series droids from Galaxy’s Edge.
Vahle assumed the role of Walt Disney World President after D’Amaro was promoted to Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman back in May 2020. The new Disney Parks leadership was put in place by D’Amaro after former Parks Chairman Bob Chapek was elevated to the CEO role earlier in 2020.
Vahle is considered by some as a potential successor to D’Amaro as the next Chairman of Disney Experiences once D’Amaro formally transitions into the CEO role. While no leadership changes beyond the CEO announcement have been confirmed, the public congratulations signify the broad executive support within the company for D’Amaro’s appointment.
Vahle is currently overseeing some of the largest expansions in the history of Magic Kingdom, including the upcoming Villains land area and Piston Peak reimagining within Frontierland.
