According to several social media posts, the Disney Character Warehouse location in Sunrise, Florida, is closing on April 15.
Disney Character Warehouse Closing at Sawgrass Mills
Based on information shared on social media, Disney has elected not to renew their lease for Disney Character Warehouse Sawgrass Mills Mall. According to a Cast Member, the reasons for the closure include resellers, live shoppers, and simply the distance: the Sunrise Mills Mall Character Warehouse is located in Sunrise, near Fort Lauderdale, about three hours from Walt Disney World Resort.

Character Warehouse is known for selling discounted Disney Parks merchandise such as apparel, ears, pins, and much more. Most of the merchandise has been retired from the parks, but on occasion, guests may find discounts on merchandise still available in the parks at full price.
At this time, there is no word on whether the other two Orlando-area Character Warehouse locations will remain open. One is located at the Orlando International Premium Outlets, with the second being at the Vineland Premium Outlets just off of Walt Disney World property.

Recently, the Disney Character Warehouse retail stores issued a new, stricter return policy to deter resellers. As of February 1, 2026, all sales at Disney Character Warehouse and Cast Connection are final, meaning nothing can be returned. This new return policy is being implemented to deter resellers, who would exploit the previous policy by purchasing merchandise, relisting it for sale, and then returning unsold stock to the outlet.
