Wilderness Explorers Program Updated to Reflect Permanent Closure of DinoLand

Previously, Wilderness Explorers were able to earn two dinosaur-themed badges in DinoLand. However, with its permanent closure, the program has been updated with a new nature badge instead.

Wilderness Explorers Program

This unique (and free) activity allows guests to complete challenges and earn adventure badges as they work their way around the park.

There were 24 badges before the permanent closure of DinoLand.

Previously, two badges were available in DinoLand: a Fossil badge and a Dinosaur badge.

Fossil Badge

Wilderness Explorers know the importance of learning about animals that have gone extinct. For animals that lived long ago, fossils give important clues to what an animal looked like and why it may have disappeared. Discover all that you can about using fossils to learn about extinct animals.

Dinosaur Badge

Wilderness Explorers know that dinosaurs are animals that lived on Earth a long time ago. We know this because of the many fossils found throughout the world. Understanding dinosaurs and why they disappeared may give us clues to help protect animals today. Join in the exploration for dinosaur fossils.

Nature Badge

Now, the program is updated with a Nature badge, which is the same one guests could earn on Earth Day and Cool Kids Summer.

The handbook available in the park is updated to reflect this new badge.

Wilderness Explorers draw inspiration from nature. Closely observing the wild helps us better understand and appreciate it. Spend time outdoors to strengthen your connection to nature.

Guests can head over to the exit of Zootopia: Better Zoogether to participate.

Will you earn your Nature badge? Let us know on social media.
