Italian broadcasting company RAI, one of the largest in Europe, and Disney+ have struck a deal to provide scripted and unscripted shows to the streaming platform.

“Building on over 40 years of Disney and RAI working alongside each other in Italy, this initiative also aligns with our approach to working with free‑to‑air broadcasters across Europe, helping them bring their stories to wider audiences while giving Disney+ customers more extraordinary local entertainment and more ways to enjoy the shows they love,” Karl Holmes, general manager Disney+ EMEA said in a release.

Among the unscripted offerings from RAI are the popular talk show Belve with Francesca Fagnani, as well as The Floor – Ne rimarrà solo uno with Paolo Perego and Gabriele Vagnato. Both will be streaming on Disney+ the day after they air.

Disney+ customers will also have access to a host of scripted content as well. This includes shows such as My Brilliant Friend, Un passo dal cielo, Braccialetti rossi, Mina Settembre, and more. Some RAI shows, such as Don Matteo and Un Medico In Famiglia, are already on Disney+.

On top of these offerings from RAI, Disney+ has its own original Italian content as well. As of now, there are a few Disney+ Italia Original Series, including The Ignorant Angels, Boris, The Good Mothers, and The Lions of Sicily.
