Head of Disney Games Group, Jay Ong, is suing The Walt Disney Company for alleged discrimination, seeking $40 million in damages.
Jay Ong Suing The Walt Disney Company

According to The New York Post, Ong claims Disney lowered his bonus and incentive award after an HR executive was trying to “dig up dirt” on him.
The lawsuit states Natalia Strauch, HR Vice President for Disney Global Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing contacted Ong’s executive coach without his permission and claimed he was a poor “cultural” fit for Disney in a February 2025 meeting.
Ong states his 2025 bonus was $325,000 while his 2024 bonus was reduced to $367,117. His incentive award was reduced from $770,000 to $620,000.
He was told the reductions were not based on his performance, which was “exceptional,” but that he “nevertheless was getting a pay cut.”
The lawsuit states Disney “retaliated against Ong by reducing his compensation to send a message, embarrass him, and force him out of the company despite acknowledging his stellar performance and his division’s record profitability.”
It continues, “such treatment is part of a broader pattern at Disney whereby those of Asian descent – the few which Disney designs to hire – are discriminated against.”
Ong was previously Head of Marvel Games for nearly 10 years. He moved to Disney Games in April 2024 and remains employed there, according to his LinkedIn.
He has overseen the creation of games for brands like Spider-Man, Star Wars, Alien vs. Predator, Toy Story, and Avatar.
