Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic will open at the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre in Mackay, Australia this December.
Disney100 Exhibit Traveling to Australia
The Walt Disney Archives, in collaboration with Semmel Exhibitions, created the immersive experience celebrating 100 years of Disney storytelling and innovation. It has already traveled to Philadelphia, Munich, London, Chicago, Kansas City, Seoul, Paris, and Madrid.
Australian audiences will get a behind-the-scenes look at one-of-a-kind artifacts and costumes as part of interactive galleries and curated displays. There will be eight immersive themed galleries and over 120 Disney artifacts.
“Hosting the Australian premiere of Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic is an extraordinary moment for Mackay. It’s not every day that regional Queensland brings Disney magic down under, and we could not be prouder to share this with our community,” said Mackay mayor Greg Williamson.
“We’re thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind exhibition to Australia and introduce audiences in the heart of Queensland to the magic of Disney,” said Matthew Adams, Manager of Exhibitions, Walt Disney Archives. “Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic was created by the Walt Disney Archives to showcase the stories, artistry, and innovation behind The Walt Disney Company, inviting guests to explore that legacy through eight immersive galleries inspired by Walt Disney’s creative philosophies.”
Added Christoph Scholz, Director of exhibitions & international projects at Semmel Exhibitions, “We are proud to collaborate with Mackay on bringing Disney: The Exhibition – A Century of Magic to the MECC, one of our most ambitious international exhibitions.”
The exhibition will take place from December 4, 2026 through May 4, 2027. Early bird tickets will be available this month.
