Walt Disney Studios recently announced that Erin Barrier is being promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Communications. She was previously VP of Communications.
Erin Barrier Promoted

Barrier replaces Paul Roeder for the role, who was recently promoted as Disney’s new Chief Communications Officer. These changes are occurring as part of Disney’s smoothest CEO transition in decades with Bob Iger stepping down as CEO and Josh D’Amaro stepping up.
In her new role as SVP of Communications, Barrier will oversee the global communications strategy for Disney’s production banners, including the Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and more. Disney Studios is currently busy with upcoming movie releases such as Toy Story 5, The Avengers: Doomsday, and The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Barrier has spent more than 15 years at The Walt Disney Company, most recently serving as vice president of communications for The Walt Disney Studios. She led global campaigns including Frozen Fan Fest, Star Wars: Force Friday, Pixar Fest and Black Panther: Welcome to Wakanda, among others. Prior to that, she held different leadership roles within Disney Consumer Products.
