Disney shared a closer look a the decor and details of The Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. After a six-year closure, the refurbished tea room will reopen this week with a new tea experience.
The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience

Disney says the reimagined lounge “blends the elegance of the Victorian era with the playful charm of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Alice in Wonderland, bringing the timeless story from the silver screen to the heart of the newly refurbished Grand Floridian, sure to leave you feeling enchanted.”
The tea room closed with the rest of Walt Disney World Resort in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the rest of the resort opened in phases, the Garden View Lounge remained closed. Disney ultimately announced it would be reimagined with the rest of the Grand Floridian Resort lobby.

The Garden View Lounge resembles a sunlit conservatory with floor-to-ceiling windows so that no matter the time of day, natural light pours into the room.

The furniture incorporates modern comfort and classic Victorian designs. It features floral patterns and plush fabrics in gentle shades of green, blue, and gold designed to evoke a serene atmosphere connected to nature.

The room incorporates organic shapes like flowers, which extend from the furniture onto the walls. Brass-framed mirrors resemble flower petals.

The stained glass windows feature native Floridian birds.

The carpet is inspired by winding garden vines and features hidden Mickeys.

Check out the Tea Experience menu with pricing. The lounge reopens on March 19.
