Tiana’s Joyful Celebration, a new traveling exhibit inspired by The Princess and the Frog and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is now open at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The exhibit will remain in Indianapolis through January 3, 2027, before traveling to other museums.
Tiana’s Joyful Celebration

Disney shared a first look at Tiana’s Joyful Celebration, which was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and The Children’s Museum. The opening coincides with the Mardi Gras season and includes a small “parade” celebrating New Orleans cultural traditions.

Following a similar story as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, the exhibit is set in 1928 New Orleans. It kicks off inside Tiana’s Co-Op, where Tiana and her friends are finalizing preparations for a Mardi Gras parade in her childhood neighborhood. However, the parade begins an hour earlier than they planned and Tiana needs your help to put finishing touches on the floats.

In addition to decorating parade floats, guests can also experiment with classic New Orleans music with the Bayou Community Band and Prince Naveen, visit Eudora’s dress shop to design masks and parade costumes, create light-up snow-ball flavors alongside Mama Odie, prepare Tiana’s father’s legendary gumbo recipe, and learn a second-line dance from a New Orleans native dancer at the finale float.

After Tiana’s Joyful Celebration wraps up it’s run at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, it will set off on a five-year nationwide tour, visiting at least 12 additional cities, including stops in California, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio.
