Disney Visa cardholders visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios will now find Stitch waiting inside the Celebrity Spotlight meet and greet venue.
No need to panic, Olaf fans, the cuddly snowman is still meeting in his usual spot at Hollywood Studios – no credit card required.
Exclusive Stitch Meet and Greet
We first noticed a different offering for this meet and greet opportunity via the My Disney Experience app yesterday. The unannounced change was made this week to swap out Stitch from Frozen’s Olaf.
Stitch is stationed on a small set decorated with various motifs ripped straight from his titular film and Hawaiian home, including surfboards, tropical foliage, Lilo’s record player, and a bright blue sky backdrop. In keeping with the Hawaiian style, Stitch also appears adorned with a flower lei.
Interestingly, Olaf is still making appearances at Celebrity Spotlight for most of the day, scheduled to appear from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. With the addition of Stitch, it appears Olaf is no longer an exclusive offer for cardholders.
Stitch, conversely, appears to only be meeting in the morning, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Olaf’s appearance is unchanged, as he appears on a separate set entirely from Stitch. In a novel coincidence, both characters happen to be meeting on similar beach-themed sets.
Disney has not officially announced the change beyond the updates found in the My Disney Experience app, but guests visiting the location this week will now encounter a different setup than before.
In the morning, while both characters are making appearances in separate rooms, the queue area has been split into two sections for guests. In the image above, our reporter noted that the left-most queue section was partitioned off for guests looking to meet Olaf. The right partition (center-right in the image) is for the new Stitch meet and greet.
Despite the change in meet and greet schedules and offerings, however, the signage out front of the venue has yet to change, as it still indicates only Olaf is available, and he is only available for Disney Visa cardmembers – both bits of information now appear to be outdated.
Both meet and greets are currently available at Celebrity Spotlight near the center of Hollywood Studios.
