Conch Fritters – $6.49
with Key Lime Aïoli

A hand presents a white tray with five golden fried fritters and a petite cup of dipping sauce, perfect for savoring at the Flower & Garden Festival. Verdant foliage provides a lush backdrop.

Doughy, a little fishy, but overall pretty solid. The Keylime aïoli is a nice touch as the tartness counters the fishiness of the fried conch fritters well. It’s not a bad size serving given the price, and it’s also a nice offering since Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort got rid of their conch fritters.

*NEW* Blackened Fish Slider – $6.79
with fried green tomato and Cajun rémoulade on a brioche bun

This is a mystery white fish and does taste fishy. But if you like that, this is the perfect slider. The fish is seasoned well with a bit of spice. The fried green tomato is perfectly cooked. The bun is soft and buttery and holds up. Everything is working, which is a rarity.

Rating out of 7: 7

Florida Strawberry Shortcake – $4.99
with Vanilla Pound Cake, Fresh Driscoll’s Strawberries, Strawberry Sauce, Whipped Cream, and Strawberry Crumbs

This is returning but with a brand-new presentation and the addition of strawberry crumbs. And despite the minor changes, it’s massively improved from previous years when we rated it a 1. It’s great. There’s not a huge amount of cake but there is a whole lot of strawberry. The berries are super fresh. The cake is light, fluffy, and a little bit sweet with more sweetness from the sauce.

Rating out of 7: 6

Cucumber Watermelon Slushy (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.99

There are a lot of cucumber-heavy drinks this year. Those who enjoy cucumber drinks may enjoy this, but our group wasn’t partial to any of the cucumber-forward options.

Rating out of 7: 3

Cucumber Watermelon Slushy with Gin – $13.25

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Florida Fresh

It has a strong cucumber flavor. It’s a little sharp but refreshing. The gin gives it a slight improvement over the non-alcoholic version.

  • Frozen Lemon Tea with Bärenjäger Honey & Bourbon – $12.25

Check back for our review of the springtime menu in April.

Grilled Asparagus – $5.49
with Pancetta Bacon, Spring Peas, Frisée Lettuce, Truffle-Sherry Vinaigrette, and Soft-Poached Egg

A hand holds a plate of asparagus, perfectly complemented by a poached egg, shredded greens, peas, and small pieces of bacon. This culinary delight feels like a taste of the Flower & Garden Festival on a plate.

We loved this dish. The salt and smoke of the bacon with the soft-poached egg paired nicely with the well-cooked asparagus.

Rating out of 7: 6

Scallop with Spring Pea Risotto – $8.19
featuring Ben’s Original™ International Grains™ Arborio Rice, Lemon-Beurre Blanc, and Gremolata

A white bowl with creamy green risotto, reminiscent of a Flower & Garden Festival delight, topped with two seared scallops and garnished with microgreens.

This dish comes with two scallops. Both were perfectly cooked, tender, and not fishy. The dish was creamy with a hint of lemon, the peas were bursting with flavor, and the rice was perfectly cooked.

Rating out of 7: 6

Blueberry Crumble Cake – $4.79
with Blueberry-Lemon Zest Soft-Serve and Blueberry Compote

A hand presents a brown tray with pink soft serve ice cream topped with blueberries and a piece of blueberry crumb cake, set against the vibrant backdrop of the Flower & Garden Festival's geometric displays.

The blueberry crumble cake was sweet and tart. The ice cream was blueberry-flavored, and the crumble cake texture was similar to cheesecake. It was like a blueberry cobbler cheesecake with blueberry ice cream.

Rating out of 7: 5

Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail – $12
Islamorada Hibiscus Gin and Simply Lemonade

farmers-feast-food

The first sip of this beverage was extremely tart, to the point that it made our mouths pucker. After letting the ice melt a little bit, this was a really nice lemonade option. The strong notes of hibiscus and the dry gin help balance out the sour lemonade. If you enjoy tropical hibiscus flavors and dry gin, this would be a refreshing choice!

Rating out of 7: 5

Frozen Lemon Tea – $12.25
with Bärenjäger Honey and Bourbon

A clear plastic cup with a cloudy peach-toned cocktail

This is a strong cocktail with an equally strong honey flavor reminiscent of Halls lozenges. It’s alcohol-forward.

Beverages:

  • *NEW* Frozen Island Escape: Minute Maid Peach and Mango Smoothie featuring an Outshine Frozen Mini Fruit Pop (Non-alcoholic) – $4.99

*NEW* Tuna Poke Bowl – $8.79
with edamame, avocado, mango, pickled red onions, seaweed salad, furikake, and umami sauce on a bed of sticky rice

This is great and it’s a real meal-sized portion for a good price. The tuna is soft and fresh. The seaweed salad is on point. And the avocado is perfect.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Poke Bowl – $6.29
with edamame, avocado, mango, pickled red onions, seaweed salad, furikake, and umami sauce on a bed of sticky rice (Plant-based)

This is the same as the above poke bowl just without tuna. If you’d rather get something plant-based, this is just as great.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Coconut Panna Cotta – $5.79
with a cherry gelée and matcha crumb topped with a citrus cookie, plant-based meringue, and flower confetti (Plant-based)

This is a middle of the road dessert. It mostly tastes of berry with some citrus sour flavors. It’s not too tart. The crumbles give it a nice texture.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Frozen Island Escape – $4.99
Minute Maid Peach and Mango Smoothie featuring an Outshine Frozen Mini Fruit Pop (Non-alcoholic)

This is a decent drink although it’s essentially liquid sugar. The popsicle makes it fun. You’ll like it if you like peach and mango and it will especially excite kids.

Rating out of 7: 4

Sunshine Seasons

Food:

  • *NEW* Mickey-shaped Lemon-Violet Macaron $6.29

Beverages:

  • Orange Cream Milk Shaketopped with whipped cream, an orange cookie, and a citrus macaron (Non-alcoholic) – $10.99

*NEW* Mickey-shaped Lemon-Violet Macaron – $6.29

This is pretty and has the perfect texture but it’s super tart. The violet and lemon flavors clash, making for a treat that can’t decide what it wants to be. It’s not bad but not everyone will enjoy it.

Rating out of 7: 5

Orange Cream Milk Shake – $10.99
topped with whipped cream, an orange cookie, and a citrus macaron (Non-alcoholic)

This tangy delight is the perfect Florida milk shake. It’s not overly tart like a traditional orange creamsicle, but we do think the vanilla may play a part in that. While you can definitely taste the orange notes, the overall flavor is more on the subtle side, and we think it’s perfect for a warm Florida day.

The macaron was a tasty addition to the milk shake, as it offered more texture and a base taste reset for your next sip.

The Citrus Blossom

Food:

  • Orange-Sesame Tempura Shrimp with orange-chile sauce – $7.79
  • Lumpia with plant-based pork, green papaya salad, and yuzu sweet-and-sour (Plant-based) – $6.19
  • *NEW* Cinnamon Beignets tossed in lemon sugar, lemon glaze, and honey mead-blueberry compote  $5.29
  • Lemon Tart with lemon curd, blood orange fluid gel, plant-based meringue, and raspberry powder (Plant-based) – $4.99

Beverages:

  • Orange-Lemon Smoothie served in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper (Non-alcoholic) – $15.49
  • *NEW* ACE Cider Orange Groves Hard Cider – $6/6 oz or $9.75/12 oz
  • *NEW* Central 28 Beer Company Grapefruit Pale Ale – $6/6 oz or $9.75/12 oz
  • *NEW* BrewDog Brewing Company Five Limes Cerveza – $6/6 oz or $9.75/12 oz
  • Beverage Flight – $12.75
  • Key Lime Wine Slushy $13

Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp – $7.79
with Orange-Chile Sauce

This comes in a great size for a festival. While the shrimp are cooked very well, this really needed more of the orange sesame sauce, as we got most of the flavor from the deep-fried batter. We didn’t get much from the sauce, as there’s barely any orange flavoring. We really wished the sauce would’ve come through more.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Cinnamon Beignets – $5.29
tossed in lemon sugar, lemon glaze, and honey mead-blueberry compote

Blueberry does not come through in the honey mead-blueberry compote. It doesn’t add anything to the beignets. The pastries are a bit too dense but still good. The lemon glaze makes them.

Rating out of 7: 4

Lumpia – $6.19
with Plant-Based Pork, Green Papaya Salad, and Yuzu Sweet-and-Sour

Three fried spring rolls rest in a paper tray next to a small cup of dipping sauce on a green patterned surface, reminiscent of the vibrant 2025 Garden Graze.

The yuzu sweet-and-sour sauce is overpowering. It has a nice kick, but it’s all you end up tasting. The plant-based pork is good quality and pretty spicy on its own. This is a greasy dish.

Rating out of 7: 4

Lemon Tart – $4.99
with Lemon Curd, Blood Orange Fluid Gel, Aquafaba Meringues, and Raspberry Powder

A small tart with a yellow filling, reminiscent of a 2025 garden graze, is topped with white shards sprinkled with red, elegantly presented on a white square plate.

This is pretty average for a lemon tart. It has a nice lemon curd and a soft pie crust. It’s middle of the road.

Rating out of 7: 4

Orange-Lemon Smoothie in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup (Non-Alcoholic) – $15.49

Orange Bird sipper with drink and beignets

As we’ve previously reportedthe sipper has been redesigned, but the drink that comes with it remains the same. This tastes like melted Pez. It’s citrusy but too much.

Rating out of 7: 2

The sipper is a perfect 7.

Key Lime Wine Slushy – $13

A plastic margarita glass overflowing with lime green slush.

This has the perfect iconic Key Lime tartness in a smooth, cool slush.

Beach Grub

People stand in line at an outdoor food kiosk named "The Donut Box" under a clear sky, enjoying the vibrant ambiance of the Flower & Garden Festival, with lush trees and charming buildings setting a picturesque background.

Food:

  • Seafood Bake with shrimp, mussels, clams, andouille sausage, red potatoes, corn on the cob, persillade butter, white wine broth, and grilled sourdough – $8.49
  • Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with savory garlic spread featuring Boursin Dairy-Free Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese (Plant-based) – $5.99
  • *NEW* Orange Cream Bar with vanilla bean-orange mousse covered in a chocolate shell with marshmallow meringue – $5.49

Beverages:

  • *NEW* Strawberry-Basil Lemonade: Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with strawberry-hibiscus syrup garnished with basil (Non-alcoholic) – $4.79
  • *NEW* 3 Daughters Brewing Key Lime Hard Cider – $6 for 6 oz; $9.75 for 12 oz

Seafood Bake – $8.49
with shrimp, mussels, clams, andouille sausage, red potatoes, corn on the cob, persillade butter, white wine broth, and grilled sourdough

A bowl of seafood boil brimming with shrimp, clams, mussels, corn, and red potato, garnished with a slice of toasted bread. The scene is set against the vibrant backdrop of the Flower & Garden Festival's most colorful blooms.

For starters, the dish was missing the andouille sausage. Overall, the offering was very inconsistent. The shrimp and mussels were excellent, the grilled sourdough was good, and the broth was also pleasant. However, the clam was very gritty, almost like sand, to which one of our review team members said, “It is Beach Grub!” The potatoes were so undercooked that they were basically raw.

Rating out of 7: 3

Grilled Street Corn on the Cob – $5.99
with savory garlic spread featuring Boursin Dairy-Free Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese (Plant-based)

The seasoning on this corn on the cob is great. The corn is buttery and oily. The vegan cheese is the weakest part, but overall, it’s good.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Orange Cream Bar – $5.49
with vanilla bean-orange mousse covered in a chocolate shell with marshmallow meringue

This is way too sweet. The mousse is moist and fresh, the shell is citrus forward and we love the orange flavor, but it’s otherwise pure sugar.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Strawberry-Basil Lemonade – $4.79
Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with strawberry-hibiscus syrup garnished with basil (Non-alcoholic)

This has a surprisingly strong basil flavor. It’s thankfully not to sweet. It’s refreshing but basic.

Rating out of 7: 3

Yacht Grub

A line of eager visitors waits under a cloudy sky at the outdoor food stand, "Yacht Grub," perfectly situated amidst the vibrant buzz of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Food:

  • Trio of Dips and Chips: House-made potato chips with whipped feta dip and candied lemon, caramelized onion dip and caviar, and pimento cheese and pickles – $6.49
  • *NEW* Captain’s Board: Selection of cheeses and cured meats with seasonal accompaniments – $7.29

Beverages:

  • Limoncello-Basil Sparkling Cocktail: Sparkling wine, Seagram’s Club Soda, and limoncello liqueur – $9

Trio of Dips and Chips – $6.49
House-Made Potato Chips with Whipped Feta Dip and Candied Lemon, Caramelized Onion Dip and Caviar, and Pimento Cheese and Pickles

A hand holding a tray with a paper bag of chips and three types of dip, garnished with peppers, is set against the vibrant backdrop of the Flower & Garden Festival's stunning blooms and lush greenery.

This dish has changed somewhat since its debut last year, adding candied lemon and pickles. The caramelized onion dip with caviar did not have a lot going on. It tasted like a standard creamy onion dip.

The other two dips were delicious, though. The pimento cheese was potent with a bit of spice from the banana peppers. The feta dip was also spicy, rich, and a little salty.

Our chips were a bit chewy. Being house-made, their freshness will vary depending on the day and time you get them.

Rating out of 7: 6

Limoncello-Basil Sparkling Cocktail – $9
Sparkling Wine, Seagram’s Club Soda, and Limoncello Liqueur

A small, clear plastic cup filled with a carbonated beverage sits on a cardboard surface, perfectly capturing the vibrant essence of a Flower & Garden Festival with colorful flowers blurred in the background.

This is formerly known as the Lemon Sparkling Cocktail. It’s lemony, refreshing, and crisp.

Food:

  • Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone – $6.29
    • Vanilla
    • Blueberry
    • *NEW* DOLE Whip Peach (Plant-based)
  • Lemon Sorbet in a Waffle Cone (Plant-based) – $6.29
  • Liquid Nitrogen Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake with fresh honey, granulated honey, and honey mead-blueberry compote (Presented by National Honey Board) – $5.49

Beverages:

  • Central 28 Beer Company Elderflower Pale Ale – $12.50
  • Lemon-Elderflower Float: Lemon sorbet and Central 28 Beer Company Elderflower Pale Ale – $12.50

*NEW* DOLE Whip Peach Soft-Serve in a Waffle Cone (Plant-based) – $6.29

This is intense and tart. It’s not too sweet although has an artificial flavor. If you like peach, you’ll probably like it.

Rating out of 7: 5

Lemon Sorbet in a Waffle Cone – $6.29

A hand holds a vanilla soft-serve ice cream cone while another person enjoys a cup of ice cream beside them, surrounded by lush greenery and a tree, capturing the delightful essence of the Flower & Garden Festival.

This was very good and tasted just as advertised — lemon sorbet. The only downside is that it melts fast in the Florida heat. You can opt to have it served in a cup instead.

Rating out of 7: 4

Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake – $5.49
with Fresh Honey, Granulated Honey, and Honey Mead Blueberry Compote

Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake

This, however, is excellent. The granulated honey and mascarpone make it a little gritty, but it’s so rich and pairs well with the compote.

Rating out of 7: 7

Lemon-Elderflower Float – $12.50
Lemon Sorbet and Central 28 Beer Company Elderflower Pale Ale

A hand holds a cup of soft-serve ice cream with a swirl of vanilla and sauce, set against the vibrant backdrop of green plants and the lively buzz of the Flower & Garden Festival.

This was very tart. The beer hitting the lemon created a sour and bitter taste.

Trowel & Trellis

Food:

  • *NEW* Miso Cola-glazed Sticky Pork Ribs topped with spicy pickled peppers and peanuts – $7.29
  • *NEW* Garden Vegetable Flatbread featuring Boursin Crumbles, Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese, topped with roasted vegetables and arugula salad – $5.99
  • Chocolate Mousse Terrarium with matcha crumb and chocolate soil – $5.49

Beverages:

  • Botanical Slush featuring Twinings Mango & Pineapple Herbal Tea with Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, Simply Fruit Punch, and simple syrup (Non-alcoholic) – $4.79
  • *NEW* Keel Farms Garden Bloom Hard Cider – $6 for 6 oz; $9.75 for 12 oz
  • Botanical Slush: Twinings Mango & Pineapple Herbal Tea, Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, Simply Fruit Punch, and simple syrup with Cruzan Mango Rum – $11.75

*NEW* Miso Cola-glazed Sticky Pork Ribs – $7.29
topped with spicy pickled peppers and peanuts

The meat comes right off the bone, which is a good sign. The ribs are a little dry but saved by everything else. The seasoning and sauce are so good. There’s a bit of a kick. The peanuts pair well.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Garden Vegetable Flatbread – $5.99
featuring Boursin Crumbles Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese, topped with roasted vegetables and arugula salad

This is huge but unfortunately isn’t very good. The cheese is congealed and there’s too much, giving a drying effect to the dish. The arugula is also super dry and flavorless. And the flatbread isn’t fresh. It’s a good concept but bad execution.

Rating out of 7: 2

Chocolate Mousse Terrarium – $5.49
with Matcha Crumble and Chocolate Soil

A clear plastic cup with chocolate mousse and toppings designed to look like a terrarium.

Chocolate fans will enjoy this, but it’s nothing special. The chocolate soil gives a nice crunch, but it’s basically a fancy version of pudding dirt cups. Previous versions of this dish have been served, but unlike those, this one is not vegan.

Rating out of 7: 5

Botanical Slush (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.79
Twinings Mango & Pineapple Herbal Tea with Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange and Guava Juice, Simply Fruit Punch, and Simple Syrup

A hand holds an orange cocktail garnished with a pineapple slice and cherry on a skewer, against the backdrop of vibrant purple foliage, capturing the essence of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Formerly the Tropical Punch, this tasted like the fan-favorite POG (pineapple orange grapefruit) juice. It was a good juice, just a small serving for being non-alcoholic.

Rating out of 7: 4

Botanical Slush – $11.75
Twinings Mango & Pineapple Herbal Tea with Minute Maid Passion Fruit, Orange and Guava Juice, Simply Fruit Punch, and Simple Syrup, with Cruzan Mango Rum

A hand holds a plastic cup containing an orange drink garnished with pineapple and a cherry, set against the vibrant red foliage of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Formerly the alcoholic version of the Tropical Punch, this tasted like POG juice with rum. It reminded us of a tiki cocktail. Nice and refreshing and a tad bit tart.

BRUNCHCOT

Food:

  • Avocado Toast with marinated tomatoes featuring Boursin Dairy-Free Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese on toasted ciabatta (Plant-based) – $6.49
  • *NEW* Shrimp and Grits: Blackened shrimp and cheddar cheese grits with tasso ham gravy, bell peppers, onions, and andouille sausage – $7.79
  • *NEW* French Toast with cinnamon cereal cream and caramel sauce – $5.29

Beverages:

  • Fruit Cereal Shake: Vanilla soft-serve and fruit-flavored breakfast cereal (Non-alcoholic) – $5.29
  • 3 Daughters Brewing Coffee Blonde Ale – $6 for 6 oz; $9.75 for 12 oz
  • Peach Bellini: Sparkling wine and peach purée – $11.75

Avocado Toast – $6.49
With Marinated Tomatoes and Plant-Based Cheese Crumbles on Toasted Ciabatta

Avocado toast topped with cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, feta cheese, and an edible flower graces a rectangular white plate, embodying the freshness of a 2025 garden graze.

The avocado toast fell flat this year. The avocado spread felt low-quality, and the tomato wasn’t bursting with flavor. The cheese was fine, but it was a forgettable dish.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Shrimp and Grits – $7.79
Blackened shrimp and cheddar cheese grits with tasso ham gravy, bell peppers, onions, and andouille sausage

The grits are a solid block. The shrimp is cooked fine but not seasoned or interesting. This is just fine.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* French Toast – $5.29
with cinnamon cereal cream and caramel sauce

This is a bit charred like they tried to give it a crème brûlée finish but it didn’t work. It tastes like a block of burnt cinnamon with a plain piece of bread in the middle. We hoped it would be something special but it was a disappointment.

Rating out of 7: 3

Fruit Cereal Shake (Non-Alcoholic) – $5.29
Vanilla Soft-Serve and Fruit-Flavored Breakfast Cereal

sunshine-griddle-flower-garden-2021-froot-loops-shake-2

We were excited to try this, but it was beyond even our expectations. The shake tastes like a bowl of Froot Loops, maybe one that has been sitting there for a bit, when the milk has absorbed some of the sugary, fruity flavor of the loops. The milky ice cream flavor mixed with this sweet, sugary tinge of Froot Loops makes for a shake you simply must get if you are going to this event. We also don’t recommend using a straw, as it’s rather pleasant to get the crunch of the actual Fruit Loops with the burst of flavor from the shake.

Rating out of 7: 5

Peach Bellini – $11.75

This is a very champagne-forward drink. We had a bit of a problem as most of our peach flavoring was found sitting at the bottom of the glass, but after we gave the drink a good stir, everything mixed together nicely. Our biggest gripe is that this is a bit on the smaller side for the price, and there are probably better options available at another kitchen. However, this drink is refreshing and fruity, should you choose to give it a try.

Refreshment Station Hosted by Coca-Cola

Beverages:

  • *NEW* Coca-Cola Cherry Float (Non-alcoholic) – $5.50
  • *NEW* Coca-Cola Cherry Float Zero Sugar (Non-alcoholic) – $5.50

*NEW* Coca-Cola Cherry Float (Non-alcoholic) – $5.50

Firstly, we were disappointed that these “new” items were just bottled Cokes. They both have a cherry-vanilla flavor and are a bit more powerful than a regular cherry float. But it’s nothing spectacular.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Coca-Cola Cherry Float Zero Sugar (Non-alcoholic)  – $5.50

The Zero Sugar was actually slightly better than the regular Coca-Cola Cherry Float. But only slightly.

Connections Eatery

The entrance to "Connections Eatery" is adorned with vibrant plants and a striking red vending machine, capturing the spirit of the Festival of the Arts under a clear blue sky.

Food:

  • Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich: Southern fried chicken sandwich with hot honey, red cabbage slaw, and pickles on a brioche bun – $13.19
  • *NEW* Pizza Bianca: Two slices of freshly baked pizza topped with roasted wild mushrooms, garlic cream, mozzarella, cheese blend, truffle oil, and thyme – $12.29

Beverages:

  • *NEW* Garden Glimmer: Empress 1908 Gin, DOLE Pineapple Juice, lemon juice, and almond-flavored syrup – $16.50

Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich – $13.19
Southern-Fried Chicken Sandwich with Hot Honey and Pickles on a Brioche Bun

A wide shot of a plate with the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and french fries.

The dishes at Connections Eatery are unique because they are full-size as opposed to the tasting sizes at the booths. If you’re looking for something hearty and filling, this is an excellent choice. The chicken isn’t very hot, but it’s thick and tasty. The cabbage is crisp, and the pickles are the perfect finishing touch.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Pizza Bianca – $12.29
Two slices of freshly baked pizza topped with roasted wild mushrooms, garlic cream, mozzarella, cheese blend, truffle oil, and thyme

This is super greasy but otherwise not bad. The cheese is good. If you’re going to eat at Connections anyway, you might as well get this.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Garden Glimmer – $16.50
Empress 1908 Gin, DOLE Pineapple Juice, lemon juice, and almond-flavored syrup

The pineapple juice overpowers everything else in this drink. We wouldn’t spend money on it in the future.

The Honey Bee-stro

Food:

  • Chicken and Waffles: Crispy chicken and a sweet honey-bacon cornbread waffle with whipped honey butter and orange blossom honey – $6.99
  • *NEW* Honeycomb Bowl with herb quinoa, honey-whipped goat cheese, poached apples, and hot honey cauliflower, topped with a honey tuile – $5.49

Beverages:

  • Frozen Peach Cobbler with streusel (Non-alcoholic) – $5.29
  • *NEW* Brew Hub Nectar Bloom IPA – $6 for 6 oz; $9.75 for 12 oz
  • Florida Orange Groves Winery Orange Blossom Honey Wine – $6.50
  • Frozen Peach Cobbler with blueberry vodka and streusel – $13.25

Chicken and Waffles – $6.99
Crispy Chicken and a Sweet Honey-Bacon Cornbread Waffle with Whipped Honey Butter and Orange Blossom Honey

Chicken and Waffles is a returning option but with orange blossom honey this year instead of spicy honey and no more jalapeño in the waffle. The chicken is not the highest quality and the breading is terrible. It’s soft, not crispy.

The waffle and accoutrements are fantastic. The whipped honey butter and orange blossom honey make a nice flavor combination with the waffle. But not enough to save this dish.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Honeycomb Bowl – $5.49
with herb quinoa, honey-whipped goat cheese, poached apples, and hot honey cauliflower, topped with a honey tuile

This is spectacular. It’s a light, healthy treat — so different from other festival food. There’s a slight burn from the hot honey cauliflower. It’s seasoned well. The honey tuile is cute and technically edible but really just a decoration.

Florida Orange Groves Winery Orange Blossom Honey Wine, St. Petersburg, FL – $6.50

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival The Honey Bee-stro

From Florida Orange Groves Winery: “Made with Florida’s special Orange Blossom Honey! Honey wine is sometimes called Mead, and ours is the sweetest and best tasting of them all!”

Envisioning a honey wine, we expected a sweet white wine. What we received was a white wine that had a medicinal quality to the taste. One sip per person around our group was more than enough.

Rating out of 7: 2

Honey-Peach Cobbler Freeze – $13.25
With Blueberry Vodka and Streusel

If you’ve ever wondered what an alcoholic Pop-Tart tastes like, wonder no longer. This may be the strongest and best cocktail of the festival. The honey and peach pair perfectly. It’s the perfect dessert drink.

Spicy Hot Dog – $7.99
With Pineapple Chutney and Plantain Chips

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Pineapple Promenade

Perhaps one of our (definitely Tom’s) favorite returning items is the spicy hot dog. You receive a full hot dog for your money, slathered in pineapple chutney and crumbled plantain chips. The hot dog delivers on flavor and spice.

Each bite pops against the perfectly cooked exterior, revealing a wonderfully spicy interior. The chutney adds a cool pineapple flavor, and the chips add a nice crunch. It’s a filling dish, and best shared if you plan to enjoy the rest of what the festival has to offer.

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic) – $5.79
Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with Desert Pear and Violet Syrups

A slush so iconic that they had to make Minnie ears to match them. We can proudly say that the admiration is much deserved. The Violet Lemonade slush is sweet, refreshing, and takes a nice picture.

Rating out of 7: 6

Pineapple Float (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.79
DOLE Whip Pineapple and Fanta Pineapple

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Pineapple Promenade

Pineapple Fanta fills the bottom of this cup. The pineapple Dole Whip mixed with the soda works very well and surprisingly isn’t overpowering. The only problem you’re going to run into with Flower & Garden is A) the portion of Dole Whip and B) how icy it comes out, to the point of almost being flavorless. Typically, the version at Magic Kingdom is very light and airy, but this comes out stiff and dense.

Rating out of 7: 4

Pineapple-Mango Cream Float – $12.75
DOLE Whip Pineapple topped with Sōmrus Mango Cream Liqueur

Formerly called the DOLE Whip topped with Sōmrus Mango Cream Liqueur, this was quite refreshing. It tasted too strongly like pineapple, and the mango liqueur was only at the very, very bottom. It was still good, but we got more of a pineapple taste than we did the liqueur.

*NEW* Chilaquiles con Carne – $8.50
Corn tortillas tossed in salsa ranchera and Monterey Jack with shaved rib-eye, poblano peppers, onions, queso fresco, and crema mexicana

Mexico booths usually have small portions but this is a good size. It’s a little dry and basic. But anybody can enjoy this.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Taco de Calamar – $9.00
Flour tortilla filled with crispy calamari, fried garlic, pasilla aïoli, and chives

The calamari looks like Burger King onion rings but aren’t bad. They have the right amount of crunchiness and just a little bit of fishiness. The tortilla tastes like it’s straight out of a bag cold. The sauce has a good amount of kick.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Flan de la Abuela – $6.50
Creamy hazelnut-chocolate flan with vanilla crème anglaise

This is nothing crazy but it’s really good. It tastes like a flan version of Nutella. So all the flavors of Nutella, just in a gelatin form.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Flower Power Margarita – $15
Dulce Vida Blanco Tequila, orange-pineapple juice, blackcurrant-lavender liqueur, and Empress 1908 Gin with a rose petal flower salt rim

This is not the most offensive margarita we’ve had at EPCOT. It’s mild and watery. You can taste the gin but not much else.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Spicy Mango Margarita – $14.75
100% de agave blanco tequila, reposado mezcal, tamarindo liqueur, mango purée, and lime-jalapeño juice with a chili-lime salt rim

This is also kind of watered down. It’s a bit smoky. The spice of the rim is good up against the tropical juices. But we get the taste of Chloraseptic at the back end.

  • *NEW* Tanghulu: Skewer of strawberries and grapes coated in candied sugar syrup – $7.25

  • Dragon Dynasty: Baijiu spirit, light rum, dragon fruit syrup, piña colada mix, and soda water – $14.75
  • *NEW* First Emperor: Vodka, ginger kombucha, strawberry syrup, and lime juice – $15
  • Tropical Moon: Vodka, triple sec liqueur, passion fruit syrup, soda water, and white boba pearls – $14.75

House-Made Cheesy Crab Wontons – $9.75
Fried Wontons Filled with Cream Cheese, Celery, and Imitation Crab Stick Drizzled with Plum-Chili Sauce

The wontons are fine, but they didn’t have a lot of crab. You get two wontons for the price, and they’re pretty tasty, so if you’re in the mood for these, we wouldn’t discourage it.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Sha Cha Beef Bao Bun – $7.75
filled with pan-fried beef, red onion, and jalapeño in Chinese sha cha peanut sauce

The beef is nothing impressive but it’s passable. There are a lot of peppers and that’s the main flavor, you can barely taste the peanut sauce. It’s oily and spicy.

Rating out of 7: 4

Pan-Fried Vegetable Dumplings – $5.50
Filled with Bok Choy, Carrot, Shiitake Mushroom, Ginger, Garlic, and Sesame

While the presentation of this dish is pretty, that’s the only compliment we can give it. The top of a dumpling should be crunchy, but this was basically a rock. It was incredibly hard to cut through and resembled what we think chewing plastic is probably like.

It’s vile. It’s tough. The flavor isn’t good. This is probably one of the worst dishes we’ve had. If you’re looking for something similar, we recommend the spring rolls from the quick service in this pavilion.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Tanghulu – $7.25
Skewer of strawberries and grapes coated in candied sugar syrup

This is good but far too expensive for what it is. The coating is hard and crunchy. It’s exactly as described.

Rating out of 7: 3

Mango Bubble Tea (Non-Alcoholic) – $7.75

A plastic cup with a yellow drink and dark boba at the bottom.

The tea is refreshing if you’re looking for a nice, non-alcoholic drink, but the boba is flavorless.

Rating out of 7: 3

Dragon Dynasty – $14.75
Baijiu Spirit, Light Rum, Dragon Fruit Syrup, Piña Colada Mix, and Soda Water

A clear plastic cup with a light pink cocktail.

The tropical notes are great, with the piña colada mix adding a note that tastes a little like suntan lotion smells, but not in a bad way.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* First Emperor – $15
Vodka, ginger kombucha, strawberry syrup, and lime juice

You taste the ginger kombucha right away. There’s a bit of sourness from the lime and a strawberry aftertaste. If you like kombucha, you’ll like this. It’s refreshing.

Rating out of 7: 5

Tropical Moon – $14.75
Vodka, Triple Sec, Passion Fruit Syrup, Sparkling Water, and White Boba Pearls

Due to the color, it may be difficult to see, but there are boba pearls in this drink. However, the boba in this drink is unlike any others that we’ve had before; it’s almost like these were soft, and not in a good way. The texture resembled Jell-O. Beyond that, this drink was refreshing, and the taste was pretty good. If you can overlook the weird boba pearls, we actually really enjoyed this.

*NEW* Lemon Bolle$5.49
Cardamom bun filled with lemon curd and meringue

This is a good size for the price. The bun is not as dry as it looks. It’s soft and a little dense. It does taste like it’s straight out of a bag. But the lemon curd is good and if you like that flavor, you’ll like this.

  • Boyd & Blair Lavender Martini – $12.50

*NEW* Nigerian Beef Pie – $6.79
with Papaya Syrup

This is something you can buy at a corner store in New York. It’s like a Jamaican beef patty but with more African flavors. It’s oily and spicy. We can see potato inside but don’t taste it. We would rather get an empanada.

Rating out of 7: 4

Seasonal Fruit Parfait – $6.99
With Sweet Chili Sauce and DOLE Whip Mango

Mango fans may enjoy this, but none in our party did. The quality of the ingredients was fine; it just didn’t appeal to our group.

Rating out of 7: 2

Boyd & Blair Lavender Martini – $12.50
Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka with Lavender and Lemon

This pairs well with the Nigerian beef pie. It’s tasty but dangerous. The lavender is more of an aftertaste.

  • Beer Flight – $12.75
  • Apfelschaumwein: Apple sparkling wine and apple liqueur – $10.75

Potato Pancakes – $5.29
With House-Made Apple Sauce (plant-based)

Basically, it is what it says it is. You can taste the onions, hashbrown flavor of the potato, and applesauce. It’s a very simple dish, but it delivers what it says. With so many other options, we’d probably recommend other dishes. This one’s nothing terribly special.

Rating out of 7: 4

Toasted Pretzel Bread – $6.19
Topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Cheese

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Bauernmarkt Farmer’s Market Outdoor Kitchen

We don’t even know the proper words to describe how unexpectedly amazing this dish was. The pretzel bread was filled with a gooey cheese and black forest ham that oozed out when we cut into it. All of the flavors mix wonderfully together, making one of the best items we’ve ever had at Flower & Garden since they started Outdoor Kitchens.

Rating out of 7: 7

Warm Cheese Strudel with Berry Compote – $4.99

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Bauernmarkt Farmer’s Market Outdoor Kitchen

The strudel was a perfect combination of fruit, cheese, and flaky crust. Everything came out warm, making for a very good dessert.

Rating out of 7: 6

Apfelschaumwein – $10.75
Apple Sparkling Wine and Apple Liqueur

bauernmarkt-flower-garden-apfelschaumwein

This was similar to ice wine, but it would have been better if it had been colder. The fresh rosemary sprig gave it a nice herbal flavor, helping cut down the overwhelming sweetness of the spiced apple taste. This is a unique drink that you can’t easily get, so we recommend trying it at least once.

*NEW* Zwiebelkuchen mit Spargel $9.79
German onion cake with asparagus, caramelized onions, bacon, herbed goat cheese, and a savory custard

This is not what you want to eat in the Florida heat — and it’s just bad, too. You get the cheese up front but then everything is overwhelmed by onion. It falls flat.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Blossom Spritz – $13.50
St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Sekt Sparkling Wine, and soda water topped with fresh mint and lime

This is refreshing and light. Nothing is overpowering. It’s not too sweet or too floral. If you like a floral wine, we think you’ll like this.

  • Italian Red Sangria – $12
  • Italian-inspired Margarita with tequila and Fabrizia Blood Orange Liqueur – $13
  • *NEW* Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail: Mint-infused elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and blood orange soda – $16

*NEW* Insalata di Pasta – $7.50
Penne, apple, raisins, scallions, almonds, honey, and lemon dressing (Served chilled)

The infamous Italy booth strikes again. Here, we were actually relieved to see small portions compared to the other booths.

This is a poor pasta salad. All we can taste are the slivered almonds, which aren’t bad but also aren’t supposed to be the dominant flavor. It’s edible, which is something. There’s no reason to spend your money on this.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Arancini – $7.75
Risotto, beef ragoût, peas, parmesan, and tomato sauce

The tomato sauce is disgustingly sweet. The rice is overcooked. It at least has some flavor but it’s a terrible value.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake – $5.50
with ricotta cheese, raspberries, and sweet whipped cream

This isn’t amazing and we wouldn’t recommend it but it’s not bad. Because it’s made with ricotta, it has a creamier, more viscous texture than your standard cheesecake. The pastry shell at the bottom is good.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail – $16
Mint-infused elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and blood orange soda

This is tart, bitter, and bubbly. We like the mint flavor. Some people will like this, some won’t.

Rating out of 7: 4

Italian-Inspired Margarita – $13
Tequila and Fabrizia Blood Orange Liqueur

There’s no flavor and no alcohol taste. It tastes vaguely like blood orange.

*NEW* Blackened Shrimp Po’ Boy – $7.49
with lettuce, tomato, and Cajun rémoulade

This is fantastic. The shrimp and Cajun rémoulade have great flavors. The lettuce and tomatoes are crispy. It’s difficult to eat but worth the struggle.

Rating out of 7: 7

Spicy Chicken Gumbo – $6.29
With Andouille Sausage and BEN’S ORIGINAL Long Grain and Wild Rice

Don’t let the appearance fool you. This is probably one of the better dishes, if not the best one, at the festival. There was definitely a kick of spice in the right places. The roux was nice and dark, which is common in more authentic gumbos because that means it’s been cooked down longer. It was hearty with decent portions of chicken and gumbo. We loved this!

Rating out of 7: 7

Grilled Gulf Oysters – $7.99
With Cajun Andouille Sausage Butter and Lemon

Three opened oysters with sauce rest on a white plate, accompanied by a lemon wedge and a small bottle of hot sauce, perfect for savoring at the Flower & Garden Festival, held above a charming brick surface.

The oysters were good, not overly fishy, and had a nice spicy flavor from the sausage. They were also served with a miniature bottle of Tabasco sauce.

Rating out of 7: 6

Bananas Foster Bread Pudding – $5.19
With a Rum-Caramel Sauce

This reminded us of the monkey bread from River Belle Terrace in Disneyland. It tastes like a bread pudding with some banana flavoring. The parts soaked with caramel sauce are great. It is dry deep in the cake. A normal bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is usually a little runnier than this. We wouldn’t say don’t try it, but it’s not the best. It pairs fine with the other two items.

Rating out of 7: 4

Spiced Rum Cocktail – $12.75
Spiced Rum, Coconut Rum, Simply Fruit Punch, and Minute Maid Orange Juice

For a festival drink, $12.75 isn’t too bad although this is simple enough to make at home. It’s fruity, refreshing, and good. The coconut taste is the most prominent flavor.

*NEW* Frozen Wildberry Limeade – $6.29

*NEW* Bananas Foster Funnel Cake – $12.50
Funnel cake with banana-chocolate chip ice cream and powdered sugar, topped with whipped cream, rum-caramel sauce, and a banana-cinnamon sugar dusting

Heavenly. The chocolate chips aren’t obvious but that’s fine because they don’t necessarily belong. If you like bananas foster or just banana flavor, you’ll love this.

  • *NEW* Japanese Curry Bread: Golden, crispy fried bread filled with a fragrant Japanese vegetable curry – $6.75
  • Ramen Cup: Cold ramen noodle salad in a cup with fresh vegetables and grilled chicken served with yuzu-soy vinaigrette and chili oil – $8.50

  • *NEW* Peach Momo Plum Wine – $9.75
  • *NEW* Sakura Beauty Sake – $11.75
  • *NEW* Lavender Lemonade: Sake with lavender and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade – $8.00

Frushi – $7.50
Strawberry, Pineapple, and Honeydew Wrapped in Coconut Rice and Soy Wrap Served with Coconut Cream Sauce and Toasted Coconut

The frushi has an aesthetic update this year. It has an interesting and different presentation but it’s ultimately just a plate of fruit. It’s good but nothing special.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Japanese Curry Bread $6.75
Golden, crispy fried bread filled with a fragrant Japanese vegetable curry

The curry is excellent. It’s spiced well. The bread is crispy. It’s a little small for the price but it’s an actual Japanese food item.

Rating out of 7: 7

Ramen Cup – $8.50
Ramen Noodle Salad Shaken in a Cup with Fresh Vegetables and Grilled Chicken Served with Yuzu-Soy Vinaigrette and Chili Oil

A clear plastic cup filled with ramen noodles and toppings.

We thought this was nicely flavored for summer, and the sauce was very good. The yuzu comes through just enough. However, it’s overpriced for what you get.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Lavender Lemonade  – $8
Sake with lavender and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade

This smells like an air freshener. Taste-wise, it’s a little medicinal. You get the lavender and the lemonade but the sake pulls the flavors down.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Peach Momo Plum Wine – $9.75

This burns. You can taste the alcohol. It’s not too sweet and it’s delightfully peachy. It’s a little small for the price.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Sakura Beauty Sake – $11.75

We don’t taste any sakura. It’s light, watered-down sake. There’s plenty of sake options at the Japan pavilion so don’t bother with this.

Moroccan Wrap with Tomato-Cucumber Relish and Garlic Sauce Served on Warm Moroccan Flatbread (Falafel)

The pita bread used for these is not great and tastes store-bought. The chermoula chicken version was okay, and we enjoyed the veggies. However, it needed more spice and seasoning Rating: 4/7). The Moroccan-spiced Lamb was much better. It was slightly dry, but with all the vegetables, it made for a decent wrap (Rating: 5/7). The plant-based falafel was also very dry and didn’t taste great (Rating 3/7).

Rating out of 7: 4

Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread with Assorted Dips – $5.29

A round flat bread with three disposable ramekins for the assorted sauces sit on a rectangular plate.

The orange sauce is the zhoug. It’s tangy and spiced at the same time, slightly reminiscent of a tomato sauce. The chermoula is green and contains herbs and aioli. The cream-colored one is the hummus. It’s tangy, but still pretty good. If you want a really superb hummus, go to Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, but this one is still good. We enjoyed this, but wish there were more bread to go with the dips.

Rating out of 7: 5

Orange Blossom-Saffron Cake – $5.29

This one’s interesting because it has an outer shell. It has an unusual flavor, but we liked it. The outside coating tastes like white chocolate, while the inside tastes like vanilla custard. The saffron base does overwhelm your taste buds a bit, but we’re not complaining. The cake is fantastic. It’s fresh and flavorful. This is one of the best items at the festivals. It also comes in a large serving, which is great, as it can easily be shared.

Rating out of 7: 6

Pomegranate Mimosa – $11.75
Sparkling Wine and Pomegranate Juice

We enjoyed this. It’s mostly champagne with aromatics of pomegranate at the end. The seeds in our drink were stuck to the bottom, but we got them after tapping the bottom a bit. The champagne is more prominent than the juice. Still, it’s another pleasant drink option.

  • Citrus Slushy: Simply Lemonade, Simply Grapefruit, simple syrup, and Don Q Limón Rum – $12.25

Jamaican Jerk Chicken – $6.29
With Pigeon Pea Rice, Roasted Sweet Plantains, and Cinnamon Butter

Savor the flavors of a Flower & Garden Festival with a dish of grilled chicken leg and plantains on rice, elegantly garnished with greens and presented on a pristine white plate.

The plantains are good and cooked correctly, about as perfectly cooked as a plantain can be. The jerk chicken is cooked perfectly as well, but for the price, we’d like a larger portion, or at least two drumsticks. The chicken is tender and juicy, with a nice smoky and spicy flavor. The rice is also, as one of our festival team put it, “bangin’.”

We think our one drumstick had less meat on it than others, but for $6.25, it’s a pretty good deal and very delicious.

Rating out of 7: 7

*NEW* Ceviche – $7.49
Shrimp with mango, avocado, cucumber, lime, cilantro, tomato, and jalapeño served with plantain chips

This comes in a coconut bowl, which we love. It’s a nice flavorful mixture but maybe has a bit too much cilantro. The shrimp is cooked well. The plantain chips are nice and salty. This is fresh, light, and delicious.

Rating out of 7: 5

Coconut-Chocolate Flan Bizcocho – $5.29
Chocolate Cake, Coconut Custard, and Passion Fruit Caramel (plant-based)

This is returning but with a new name. The chocolate cake is dense, moist, and rich. With the passion fruit caramel, it’s exceptional. The coconut custard is flavorless and messes up the dish.

Rating out of 7: 5

Citrus Slushy (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.99
Simply Lemonade, Simply Grapefruit, and Simple Syrup

This is both incredibly tart and very sweet. Overall, it tastes as it’s described on the menu. It starts as a frozen drink, which is good for the current Florida heat. This is a solid, refreshing non-alcoholic drink for the spring and summer weather.

Citrus Slushy – $12.25
Simply Lemonade, Simply Grapefruit, Simple Syrup, and Don Q Límon Rum

You can really taste the rum in this, which isn’t always common. The rum definitely changes the flavor profile of the drink, and cuts the lemonade a lot more than the non-alcoholic version, making the grapefruit taste more prevalent. We prefer this version.

Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et ail Rôtie – $8.25
Croissant with Goat Cheese, Herbs, and Roasted Garlic

This is exactly what it looks like: a croissant with cheese on top. Really, it’s nothing special. Ours tasted like it had been out for a bit and was starting to go stale. We’d label this as “just okay” and recommend purchasing other items from this booth.

*NEW* Canard Confit, Sauce Romarin et Champignons, Gâteau de Polenta aux Herbes – $9.95
Pulled duck confit with rosemary-mushroom sauce and herbed polenta corn cake

The polenta is a little dry but the mushroom sauce helps with that. The duck is tender and not greasy. The sauce is pleasant. All the flavors are good.

*NEW* Tarte Aux Oignons Caramelises – $8.25
Caramelized onions on a flaky pastry crust, topped with bacon

This is much better than it looks. We like the flaky and crunchy texture. It tastes like French onion soup on a tart. It’s buttery with a good saltiness from the bacon.

Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel – $7.95
Caramelized Beignet Filled with Vanilla Cream and Glazed with Caramel Fleur de Sel

fleur-de-lys-food-44

The cream inside is rich and sweet. The pastry is soft and doughy. The caramelized sugar adds a nice, sweet finish, making for a pleasant snack that can be shared.

fleur-de-lys-food-53

This is a good crème-filled doughnut, but if you want a real French pastry, just go into the pavilion for Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.

La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush – $14.75
Vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange Vodka, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and white and red cranberry juices

We love this drink. It’s a full-sized drink, making it a great value compared to the rest of the festival drinks. The vodkas are present. The citrus and floral flavors are balanced. It’s easy to drink and is easily the best drink of the festival.

Popcorn in Canada

Beverages:

  • *NEW* Blueberry-Ginger Smash: Canadian Club Whisky, blueberry, lemon, and ginger – $14.50

*NEW* Blueberry-Ginger Smash – $14.50
Canadian Club Whisky, blueberry, lemon, and ginger

The ginger gives this a bit of carbonation. Canadian Club is a tremendous mixer. The whisky is evened out nicely although you’ll definitely feel it. It’s a nice smooth drink.

Yorkshire County Fish and Chips

Beverages:

  • *NEW* English Garden: Fords Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Minute Maid Apple Juice, and lemon juice, topped with a cucumber – $17.50

*NEW* English Garden – $17.50
Fords Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, Minute Maid Apple Juice, and lemon juice, topped with a cucumber

This isn’t worth the high price. It’s too tart. The juicy flavors cancel out the flavor. There are plenty of other alcoholic options at the U.K. pavilion.

Beef Tenderloin Tips – $7.79
With Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce, Whipped Potatoes, and Garden Vegetables

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Northern Bloom

Two beef tenderloin tips served on a bed of whipped potatoes and adorned with carrots. Overall, the whipped potatoes and vegetables were perfectly done, but the beef was overcooked and chewy. There’s a lot of potential for this item with the accompaniments as well as the savory sauce, but it really depends on the cut of beef you get.

Seared Scallops – $8.19
With French Green Beans, Marble Potatoes, and Bacon Vinaigrette

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Northern Bloom

Disney has scallops down to an art, which is surprising because they can be very temperamental (the scallops, not Disney). These were wonderfully cooked to be very smooth and buttery with just a slight bit of crunch from the bacon exterior. The green beans were cooked well and were complemented by the vinaigrette. Our only complaint would be that the portion size seemed small, but this could be first-day jitters.

Chocolate Maple Whiskey Cake – $4.79

A lot is happening here, so we’ll do our best to break it down. To start, the chocolate on top reminds us of a Krispy Kreme donut. Moving on to the cake, it’s incredibly dense and has a caramel flavor, confusing us as that isn’t an ingredient listed. The cake was also a bit dry, leaving us wishing that ice cream had been served as a side. The maple cream on top does a bit to help cut the dryness, but there isn’t enough for it to be effective.

We did end up getting some of the whiskey flavor on the back end, though, which was a positive for us. Overall, this isn’t the best dessert at the festival, but it also isn’t the worst.

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company

Beverages:

Alcoholic versions available for $15.99.

*NEW* Dubai Chocolate Frozen Cappuccino – $7.99
Frozen cappuccino featuring Joffrey’s Coffee with pistachio syrup topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate sauce (Non-alcoholic) (Spirited version available with Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur)

We got the version with Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur for $15.99. It’s hard for anything to be unenjoyable with Kahlúa. We definitely taste the pistachio and a bit of mocha. They make for a great combination. We’re sure it’s good without the liqueur, too. It’s one of the better frozen Joffrey’s drinks.

*NEW* Very Berry Matcha Latte – $7.19
Milk, strawberry syrup, and matcha topped with whipped cream (Non-alcoholic) (Spirited version available with Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur)

We got this with Bailey’s, which is interesting with the matcha. There are a lot of different flavors that you wouldn’t expect to work together but they do. The strawberry syrup is buried at the bottom and we wish there was more. It tastes like a matcha dessert.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Cascara Lemonade – $6.49
Frozen Lemonade with Cascara Syrup (non-alcoholic)

The lemonade is so sweet, we barely taste anything else. It was a little bit like the kombucha from Lan Yuan. It’s a hard pass.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Garden Bloom Latte – $7.19
Espresso, milk, and lavender and vanilla syrups topped with whipped cream (non-alcoholic)

We also got this latte with Kahlúa. We don’t like it as much as the Dubai Chocolate Frozen Cappuccino but it’s still enjoyable. It mostly tastes like espresso with light floral notes. The vanilla and lavender make for a good flavor.
