Disney+ launched two new Short Circuit films on Wednesday: Maddie & The Test and Life Drawings.

Maddie & The Test is directed by Heather M. Roberts Russell.
Life Drawings is directed by Larry Wu.
Similar to Pixar’s SparkShorts series, the Short Circuit program allows anyone working at Walt Disney Animation Studios to pitch a short film. The artists and directors are encouraged to experiment with different visual styles, stories, and technology.
The series launched in 2020 after the first shorts were screened at D23 Expo. Season 2 released in 2021.
