The former PizzeRizzo facade has new arches as construction continues transforming Muppets Courtyard into Monstropolis.
Arches Added to Former PizzeRizzo

On Friday, April 24, we saw crew members actively working on the newly-installed arches. There are five that run along the length of the facade over the patio area.
Concept art does not indicate what the building’s new theme will be. The billboard was removed in late 2025.

The pizza quick-service restaurant began its life as Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade. It was re-themed to PizzeRizzo (a play on the word “pizzeria”) in 2016. It closed with the rest of Muppets Courtyard, including MuppetVision 3D, in June 2025.
Monstropolis takes over the former Muppets Courtyard, along with a new coaster show building being added on as an expansion to the park in what was formerly a backstage Cast Member parking lot. The door coaster will be Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster and first vertical lift coaster.
Mama Melrose’s will become Harryhausen’s, a restaurant visited by characters in the first Monsters, Inc. PizzeRizzo will likely be a new quick-service restaurant. Disney has not announced what will go in the MuppetVision 3D theater.
