New Citizen timepieces featuring Pooh and his pal Tigger have been sighted at Magic Kingdom’s Uptown Jewelers.
Citizen Winnie the Pooh and his Honey – $325
The first watch has a contemporary formal look, featuring a gold-tone round case paired with a black leather strap with a quilted texture.
The design of the black dial is clean and modern throughout, with slender applied baton indices and golden numerals at the 12 and 6 positions. A small date complication, a common feature across Citizen designs, is included at the 3 o’clock position. On the opposite side, the dial art features Winnie the Pooh enjoying a pot of honey.
Citizen Pooh and Tigger Embrace – $295
The second watch has a warmer, vintage-leaning presentation with a gold case, a round polished bezel, and a brown leather strap, giving it a classic dress-watch profile.
The dial here again is black, contrasting well with the vibrant yellow 12, 3, 6, and 9 numerals at the major hour markers. At center, favoring the right side, the larger artwork features Pooh and Tigger sharing an embrace and perhaps sharing a nearby pot of honey. Small bee accents are placed in subtle positions on both characters.
Both of these watches feature Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology. A frequent inclusion on many Citizen timepieces and much of their Disney collection, Eco-Drive tech enables watches to convert natural or artificial light into stored energy, powering the watch movement for far longer than more traditional battery technology.
Though not specifically designated as such, these designs are likely released in correspondence with the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh. The centennial anniversary has been marked by other merchandise available at the parks and online.
