Lorcana has revealed that the next major card set, Wilds Unknown, will feature various Pixar characters, including Merida. They also gave a first look at future card sets for 2026 and 2027.

Lorcana Wilds Unknown

The next Lorcana card set will be titled Wilds Unknown and feature various Pixar characters for the first time. The previous card set was Winterspell, which featured characters like Anna and Elsa from Frozen.

Princess Merida from Pixar’s Brave will make her debut as a “Formidable Archer.”

Wilds Unknown will have a two-player starter set, which will have cards featuring characters from Toy Story and The Incredibles. The announcement revealed Buzz Lightyear as a “Jungle Ranger” and Woody as a “Jungle Guide.”

Other characters, including Violet Parr (“Learning New Powers”), Luisa Madrigal (“Confident Climber”), Maleficent (“Imperious Traveler”), and Pocahontas (“Steadfast Traveler”), as well as others like Ariel, Cruella de Vil, and more, will be included in this card set. New locations like Pizza Planet and Remote Inklands will be added to the game.

Wilds Unknown will be available for pre-release on May 8, 2026, in game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. The set will be available everywhere a week later, on May 15. 

Lorcana Attack of the Vine

Lorcana also revealed a first look at the next card set releasing later this year. It is called Attack of the Vine and will be heavily influenced by Monsters, Inc. The first three cards feature Boo (“Energetic Child”), Mike Wazowski (“Well-Rounded Entertainer”), and Sulley (“The New Boss”).

There will be an Illumineer’s Trove and pre-release pack, as well as the return of the Illumineer’s Quest standalone co-op series, this time featuring characters from the Hundred Acre Wood.

The next Illumineer’s Quest is titled The Great Hunny Rescue, and it features the “Hunny Wizard” version of Winnie the Pooh. Based on the cover art, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Tigger will be included as well.

Attack of the Vine will be released on July 17, 2026, and will be available in all retail stores on July 24.

Future Lorcana Card Sets

Lorcana also gave a first look at other future card sets. Miguel from Coco will be debuting in a future set called Hyperia City, while another 2027 card set will revolve around Onward, a Pixar film with heavy Dungeons & Dragons influence.
