Celebrate National Pretzel Day with a Pretzel Freebie

The popular snack chain, Wetzel’s Pretzels, will be offering customers a free original pretzel later this month on National Pretzel Day, April 26. The offer is limited to one pretzel per person, for in-store transactions only.

National Pretzel Day, first established in 2003 by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, celebrates pretzels as a longstanding favorite snack and cultural staple in the United States, whether in crunchy packaged form or as warm soft pretzels sold fresh at bakeries, stadiums, malls, and snack counters.

Naturally, Wetzel’s Pretzels has jumped on the opportunity to bring in customers to their pretzel-centric business. The snack chain, founded in 1994 by Rick Wetzel and Bill Phelps, built its identity around hand-rolled, fresh-baked soft pretzels served in both sweet and savory varieties.

Apart from the traditional, original pretzel, flavored varieties, hot dog items, lemonade drinks, and other offerings are available and made fresh throughout the day.

Wetzel’s Pretzels also happens to have official locations at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, which will be participating in the same nationwide pretzel giveaway on Sunday, April 26.

At Disneyland Resort in California, Wetzel’s Pretzels can be found in the Downtown Disney District. At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, guests can find a snack stand at Disney Springs located in the Marketplace area.
