All-new puppet characters will star in a one-off special from The Jim Henson Company featuring on-location production at Sequoia National Park.
Meet Ronald and Roxy in Jim Henson’s Wowsabout

In a post shared via the official Fraggle Rock Instagram account, the Jim Henson Company has promoted a new one-off TV special produced for PBS Kids. The special, titled Wowsabout, stars two new puppet characters, Roxy the hedgehog and Ronald the pig.
According to the official announcement of Wowsabout from the Jim Henson Company earlier this year, the 22-minute live-action special introduces two new puppet characters, Ronald, a careful and rules-focused pig, and Roxy, a music-loving hedgehog, whose friendship develops as they explore Sequoia National Park together. The plot of the special follows Ronald, who wants to become a junior ranger, as he journeys through the park alongside Roxy, who is searching for mythic “magical giants.”
The story was created and written by Halle Stanford and Dorien Davies, both of whom also serve as executive producers, with Davies additionally performing as Roxy, and John Tartaglia directing and performing as Ronald.

Notably, Wowsabout was filmed on location in Sequoia National Park, with strategic advisory support from the National Park Foundation. Speaking on the project and its environmentally-oriented goals, Lisa Henson, CEO of The Jim Henson Company and executive producer on the special, shared:
“Wowsabout brings The Jim Henson Company’s rich legacy of puppetry into the natural world and Roxy and Ronald are sure to become guides for a new generation of viewers, encouraging greater awareness and stewardship of the environment and the world we all share.”
