Walt Disney Imagineering is celebrating a Webby People’s Voice Award win, as “We Call It Imagineering: Research & Development” wins the People’s Voice Webby Award in Video & Film – Technology. And, “My Disney Spectacular” from Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast from Walt Disney World won People’s Voice Webby Award in Podcasts – Best Partnership or Collaboration.

"We Call It Imagineering: Research & Development" episode with Olaf animatronic

The episode of ‘We Call It Imagineering’ that focused on the Olaf animatronic has been named a Webby People’s Voice Award winner. The Olaf living character is the latest entry in the now decades-long history of walk-around robotics characters at Disney Parks, beginning with Lucky the Dinosaur in the 2000s and continuing through to the Star Wars BDX droids of recent years.

“Not Gonna Lie” with Kylie Kelce

Kylie and mother-in-law Donna Kelce filmed an episode of the podcast Not Gonna Lie at Magic Kingdom, and it won the People’s Voice Webby Award in Podcasts – Best Partnership or Collaboration.

Disney Experiences will be honored at the 30th Annual Webby Awards in New York City on May 11th where winners will have an opportunity to deliver one of The Webby Awards’ famous 5-Word Speeches. The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), which is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet, hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times.
