REVIEW: Hollywood Spotlight Club Aboard Disney Adventure

As much as we didn’t love the food at our dinner rotation restaurants, we thoroughly enjoy the Hollywood Spotlight Club restaurant. This venue has a 1930s glitz and glam feel. It offers a dinner show with Disney characters and live music.

Hollywood Spotlight Club Aboard Disney Adventure

Live Entertainment

There is live entertainment in the dining room, so you’ll see live performers on stage during your meal.

Characters

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are part of this dinner rotation’s experience.

They stopped by our table individiually throughout the experience.

Our Review

Roasted Roma Tomato Soup

Sourdough Purple Basil Crostini

The soup wasn’t served with the crostini; it was just the soup. To be honest, it tasted like marinara sauce.

Rating out of 7: 2

Duck Confit Pastilla

Dates, Apricot, Ginger, Red Pepper, Saffron, Raspberry Sauce

Duck Confit Pastilla at Hollywood Spotlight Club

This was a well-liked and enjoyed dish.

Moroccan Spiced Roasted Kabacha and Calabaza

Zaalouk, Garbanzo, Cinnamon Brown Rice, Couscous, Cilantro, Arugula, Pita, Harissa ‘Yogurt’

Moroccan Spiced Roasted Kabacha and Calabaza at Hollywood Spotlight Club

This was a really good entree. It was spicey, so if you can’t handle a lot of spice, you may want to talk to your server or avoid this dish altogether. The vegan options are being done well.

Lobster Salad

Baby Bibb, Endive Lettuce, Avocado, Jicama, Celery, Purple Potato, Tostones, Back Beans, Grape Tomatoes, Cilantro, Lime

Lobster Salad at Hollywood Spotlight Club

This was perfectly fine, It was a large portion of lobster. The lobster was of good quality, but the salad didn’t have a lot to it.

Porcini-spiced Ali Tuna Sashimi

Pickled Lotus Root, Oyster Mushroom, Black Sesame Brittle, Wasabi-Yuzu Mayonaise

Porcini-spiced Ali Tuna Sashimi at Hollywood Spotlight Club

This was perfectly solid. There was nothing wrong with it, but nothing stood out either. Probably a middle-of-the-road, but it was a nice, light start to the meal.

Ube Crème Brûlée

Coconut Biscotti

Ube Crème Brûlée at Hollywood Spotlight Club

The biscotti was spectacular. It isn’t very much like a typical creme brûlée; this is more like an ube mousse with a caramelized topping. Highly recommended.

Coconut Tapioca Pudding with Mango Strawberry Mint Salsa

No sugar-added dessert

Coconut Tapioca Pudding with Mango Strawberry Mint Salsa at Hollywood Spotlight Club

This was a favorite of ours. It was listed as the nosugar added desert and is also vegan. It was one of our favorite desserts of the cruise. If you like tapioca pudding, you’ll enjoy it. It’s a very nice, light option.
