Disney’s Art of Animation Resort rooms at Walt Disney World are getting a significant makeover starting next summer.

Disney’s Art of Animation Refurbishment

Starting in summer 2027, the family suites and guest rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation will be getting an extensive refurbishment. However, the resort will remain open and available during the refurbishment.

The Little Mermaid guest rooms, while maintaining their animation quality, will also receive pull-down Murphy beds that give the room both a second bed or a table, depending on what the guests need at the time.

Disney’s Art of Animation has not had a refurbishment of this magnitude since it first opened in 2012. While the resort has had soft-goods refurbishments over the years, such as replacing carpet in the rooms with laminate from 2019 to 2021 or the lobby floor replacement, there haven’t been any other major projects.
