Disney+ and Hulu are embracing the early 2000s this summer with a new “Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks” celebration packed with nostalgic movies, fan-favorite series, exclusive content, special events, and subscriber perks.

Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall
One of the most unique offerings is the Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall, a temporary pop-up experience coming to Los Angeles.
The immersive activation will take place at Westfield Century City on June 6 and June 7, transforming part of the shopping center into a tribute to Disney Channel and Hulu favorites from the late 1990s and 2000s. Fans can explore themed experiences inspired by beloved titles, participate in interactive activities, and celebrate some of the era’s most memorable entertainment.
Classic Movies Return to Disney+
As part of the summer-long celebration, Disney+ is bringing a collection of fan-favorite movies back into the spotlight.
Featured titles highlighted in the promotion include:
- The Cheetah Girls
- High School Musical
- Camp Rock
The initiative encourages subscribers to revisit some of Disney Channel’s most iconic original films while introducing them to a new generation of viewers.
New Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Podcast, Stream, & Collection
Disney is expanding the nostalgia celebration beyond movies with several new ways for fans to revisit their favorite Disney Channel and early-2000s classics.
A new Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Podcast will feature behind-the-scenes stories, cast reunions, and conversations centered on beloved titles such as Halloweentown, The Cheetah Girls, and Camp Rock. Subscribers can also tune into a dedicated Throwbacks Stream featuring themed marathons and rotating nostalgic content, including a launch-day lineup focused on Disney Channel Original Movies.
Additionally, Disney+ is curating a special Throwbacks Collection spotlighting milestone anniversaries for fan-favorite titles including High School Musical, Hannah Montana: The Movie, The Devil Wears Prada, and Ugly Betty, making it easier than ever to revisit some of the era’s most memorable entertainment.
A Summer Dedicated to Nostalgia
The Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks celebration will run throughout the summer, blending classic movies, exclusive content, immersive fan experiences, podcasts, streaming marathons, and subscriber rewards into one nostalgia-filled event.
Disney+ Perks Summer Fridays
Disney+ subscribers can also take advantage of a new “Disney+ Perks Summer Fridays” program beginning in June.
The initiative will offer weekly perks, interactive experiences, and themed quizzes designed to unlock collectible digital badges and other subscriber-exclusive rewards. Additional details will be available through Disney’s Disney+ Perks program throughout the summer.
Disney+ has also recently expanded its lineup of original content with the addition of Imagineer That!, a behind-the-scenes series exploring how Walt Disney Imagineering designs attractions, entertainment, and experiences throughout Disney Parks.
