Disneyland dealt a blow to pin traders today with the official removal of the designated pin trading spot in Frontierland. The website was updated to reflect this change.
Disneyland Issues New Pin Trading Rules

In an effort to keep pin trading contained, benches and tables by Frontierland’s Westward Ho Trading Co. — the most popular in-park shop for pin drops — were designated for pin trading. Pin traders would arrange their open portfolios along the benches and on the tables in this area for other guests to peruse.
However, updated rules on the Disneyland website’s Pin Trading FAQ indicate that that era has officially ended:
Specifically, these new rules cite “No use of benches, chairs, or tables,” clearly stating that “pins are not allowed to be displayed.” They also state that pins must be limited to “lanyards and small handheld pin-trading accessories.” We will have to see if and how this new rule affects the traders who bring large portfolios to the park.

In Downtown Disney, you can regularly find groups of pin traders gathered by Disney’s Pin Traders. We also don’t know if these rules will also apply to guests looking to trade just in Downtown Disney.
