That’s right, Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana herself, is getting her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! With any luck, Miley’s spot will be free of hot dog vendors this time around (if you know, you know – scroll on to learn more).
Another Disney Legend Joins the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Disney Legend Miley Cyrus will soon be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cyrus is scheduled to receive her star, the 2,845th along the famous Hollywood landmark, on Friday, May 22, at 11:30 a.m. PT.
Her star will be placed in the Recording category. The ceremony will include appearances by actress Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion designer Donatella Versace, with iHeartMedia personality Ellen K serving as emcee.
Fans who are unable to attend in person will be able to watch the event via the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
The honor comes shortly after the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana, the Disney Channel series that launched Cyrus to international fame. The show premiered in 2006 and followed Miley Stewart, a teenager balancing everyday life with a secret career as pop star Hannah Montana. Cyrus starred in the title role alongside Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles, Moisés Arias, and her real-life father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Since her Disney Channel debut, Cyrus has built a wide-ranging music career spanning pop, rock, country, soul, and alternative influences. She has also remained connected to Disney in recent years, including through Disney+ projects and a song tied to Avatar: Fire and Ash. Cyrus was named a Disney Legend during the 2024 D23 ceremony.
Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was pleased to recognize Cyrus, adding:

Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry, and we are thrilled to honor her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Generations of young girls have grown up watching her evolve, finding inspiration in her journey and fearless creativity.
Fans of Hannah Montana may experience a bit of déjà vu over the news.
In the series’ second season episode titled “Hannah in the Street with Diamonds,” Miley receives a “diamond” on the Hollywood Parade of Diamonds – a parody of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unfortunately, however, Miley finds her spot on the walkway crowded out and vandalized by a resident hot dog vendor.
We can only hope Miley’s real star will occupy a more favorable, street food-free space.
