Retired Disney artist of 30 years, Brian Blackmore, has shared some unique concept art from an Animal Kingdom T-Shirt he worked on.
Animal Kingdom T-Shirt Art
Unlike typical Animal Kingdom art that centers on the iconic Tree of Life, Blackmore wanted to go in a different direction: “I desired to do something different for the Tree of Life, so I imagined having popular Disney characters rather than generic animals similar to the actual tree,” he wrote on Instagram. “The finished image has not been included here. This was a fun project. Anytime we are given creative license, it is a thrill!”
The first design he shared had a ton of characters like Timon and Pumbaa, Flik, Nemo, Kaa, the Tick-Tock Croc, King Louie, and a rhino and giraffe from The Lion King to name a few.
The second design had a few of the same characters like Kaa and King Louie, but added in more like Meeko, Jock, and even Elliott the dragon!
