“Star Tours: Last Launch” is a 23-minute fan film centered around the original version of the Star Tours attraction. The project was developed over several years as a passion-driven tribute aiming to recreate the atmosphere and adventure that made the classic Star Tours experience so memorable for generations of Disney Parks guests.

The story follows an intercepted encrypted transmission between Star Tours and the Rebel Alliance as the Empire tightens its control across the galaxy, placing the rebellion’s secrecy at risk.

The film combines practical filmmaking, visual effects, and cinematic storytelling inspired directly by classic Disney Parks attractions and the original Star Tours experience.

Several notable Disney and “Star Wars” figures were involved in the production, including former Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive Tony Baxter and former Imagineer and art director Tim Delaney. Both Imagineers also make brief cameo appearances in the film as maintenance technicians.

‘Star Tours: Last Launch’ Fan Film with Tony Baxter Now Available for Viewing

The English-language dub additionally features performances from actor Lee Arenberg, known for roles in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films and “Once Upon a Time,” alongside Scott Chernoff and Dan Madsen.

In addition to the main film, the project’s official YouTube channel also includes the official film trailer, behind-the-scenes content and making-of videos detailing the years-long development process behind the production.
