Hold your breath, Disney’s 20th Century Studios is releasing a new thriller movie called Whalefall this October. They revealed the trailer and poster this week.

The survival thriller stars Austin Abrams as a scuba diver who, while searching for the remains of his father (Josh Brolin), gets swallowed alive by a sperm whale and must escape. Elizabeth Shue, Emily Rudd, and Jane Levy also appear.

Whalefall is based on a 2023 novel by Daniel Kraus. He co-wrote the screenplay with director Brian Duffield.

Whalefall will be in theaters on Friday, October 16, 2026.
