The classic Cinderella Castle Dream Lights will not be illuminating the castle at the Magic Kingdom this year, as expected. The last time we saw Dream Lights was in 2019.

The classic Cinderella Castle Dream Lights will not be illuminating the castle at the Magic Kingdom this year, as expected. The last time we saw Dream Lights was in 2019.

The lights, which gave the castle the illusion of being covered in snow and icicles, are not expected to return this year. Today, Disney released the full details of the 2026 holiday offerings for Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts, and the Dream Lights were not part of that announcement.

We anticipated this, but with it being the first Christmas season that Cinderella Castle is back to its original color scheme since Dream Lights were retired, many have flooded Disney’s social media asking for them to return.

Instead, we can expect projections, as pictured above.
