Disneyland Railroad Dioramas Replaced with Cardboard Dinosaur and Animal Cutouts

In the Grand Canyon and Primeval World sections of the Disneyland Railroad, guests will currently see what can only be described as cardboard cutouts of various animals and dinosaurs.

Cardboard Cutouts

The Primeval World section of Disneyland Railroad usually has a diorama of audio-animatronic dinosaurs in it. But during this current refurbishment, they have been replaced with cutouts as seen above.

Similarly, the diorama of the Grand Canyon would have painted scenic backgrounds with taxidermied animals appropriate to the landscape.

Diorama Restoration

In an update we shared in March 2025, the Grand Canyon diorama had been fixed with working projections, and the dinosaur animatronics in the Primeval World section were moving again.
