According to Boxoffice Pro, the latest prediction for Toy Story 5‘s opening weekend in the U.S. could range between $150 million and $175 million. The last Pixar film to hit over $150 million in the domestic box office on opening weekend was Inside Out 2 in 2024 with $154.2 million.
To date, Incredibles 2 (2018) is Pixar’s highest-grossing opening weekend film, which earned $182.6 million in its first domestic weekend. That record is followed by Finding Dory (2016) with $135 million, and then Toy Story 4 (2019).
The film currently has a 93% Rotten Tomatoes score.
