Disney has shared a new behind-the-scenes video of The American Adventure attraction located in EPCOT, likely in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
Behind-the-Scenes of The American Adventure

In a new video shared on Facebook, we can see the extensive system of carriages with show sets that roll out from underneath the theater seating and are then hydraulically lifted into place. The video also focuses on different scenes, like how difficult it was to mimic Ben Franklin’s gait while walking upstairs, and how they used a fan to make George Washington more lifelike.
The American Adventure attraction is located in EPCOT and features 35 Audio-Animatronics figures, digital rear-projection images on a 72-foot screen, and patriotic songs, allowing guests to watch the founding of America in real-time.
Disney Celebrates America

Earlier today, we noticed that columns at The American Adventure’s main entrance are covered by tall white boxes. Such boxes are usually used to cover signs of refurbishment or construction like painting, suggesting Disney is giving The American Adventure pavilion in EPCOT some decoration changes ahead of America’s 250th Independence Day.
Limited time America 250th treats, as well as new merchandise, are available throughout Walt Disney World. These include a Sam Eagle-inspired shortcake and a non-alcoholic drink from Regal Eagle. Last month, Soarin’ Across America also opened at EPCOT.
The Disney Celebrates America initiative that began last year will culminate in a 24-hour multi-platform broadcast on the Fourth of July weekend, including fireworks from Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Both coasts will offer three nights of Fourth of July fireworks.
