A pair of window displays on Main Street, U.S.A. have been re-decorated to depict Mickey and Minnie surrounded by patriotic decor.
Main Street Patriotic Window Displays

The displays are in the green-framed bay windows outside the Emporium. Red, white, and blue bunting was installed on these windows and down the street in May, ahead of Memorial Day.

Mickey is dressed in a vintage-style green and pink outfit with a straw hat. He wears a big “Judge” medallion with red, white, and blue ribbons on his chest. More patriotic bunting hangs within the window above the Mickey statue.

He stands on a blue base covered in fireworks imagery. A gold trophy sits by his feet. And the rest of the display is filled with summer sporting equipment.

A score card on a clipboard lists the scores of various characters for badminton, croquet, lawn tennis, and sack race. Horace Horsecollar took home the gold for badminton, Goofy won croquet and lawn tennis, and Pete earned victory in the sack race.

The other window has a Minnie statue surrounded by red, white, and blue flowers, flags, and parasols. Like Mickey, she wears green and has a golden medallion with patriotic ribbons. The medallion features an image of Mickey.

Flowers are within metal pots at her feet and on a nearby table. She has a red parasol in her hand and more in a basket. A small basket holds red and white lace fans.
The displays appeared about one month before Independence Day (July 4th). This year marks America’s 250th Independence Day, which Walt Disney World will celebrate as usual with fireworks. Patriotic merchandise, including a new Sam Eagle collection has also arrived. Soarin’ Across America recently opened for a limited-time run at EPCOT.
