Last week, we announced the Light Lounge at The Odyssey was coming to EPCOT after new signage emerged at the pavilion. Now the lounge is here, and this is everything you need to know!
Following the installation of the signage at The Odyssey pavilion, there was no official update from Disney regarding what the Light Lounge would be. So its opening today was a bit of a surprise.
Light Lounge

The air-conditioned lounge is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., which appears to be daily.

It is serving up a small offering of food options, drinks, and a seasonal draft selection. Here is the current Light Lounge menu:

- Apple-Caramel Churro Bites – $6.99
- with Vanilla Dipping Sauce
- Caramel Popcorn Churro Bites – $6.49
- Caramel churros, kettle corn, and caramel sauce
Beverages

Entertainment

On top of the snacky foods, guests at the Light Lounge can also enjoy the varietal stylings of Max & Aydar. They’re being moved inside from their original performance location in World Celebration Gardens. Their performance starts at 12:00 p.m. and continues every half hour until 4:00 p.m.
Max and Aydar are a pair of variety entertainers who juggle various objects while poking fun at each other. At one point during our outdoor visit to their show, kids were invited to take center stage in a plate-spinning act.
Decor

The decor theme of this lounge is clearly based on refraction, when light is split into a rainbow of colors when put through a prism. This refractive light quality is shown throughout the aptly named Light Lounge. Lights put on the walls make them seem like slightly different colors than they are without light, as demonstrated above.

The walls are comprised of greens and blues, though how vibrant they are might change based on the light applied to them.

When viewed from the back, these walls almost look like they are underwater, looking at how light changes under the surface.

Some of the effects of these walls are derived from the varied artistic style. As you can see above, some of the colors have sparkly bits in them that give them a much different look than the matte colors beside them.

Other details on the walls are lines of shiny material going down, giving a kind of waterfall effect up close.
