REVIEW: Tanzanian Meat Pie at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has released a Tanzanian Meat Pie. We tried it to share our honest thoughts with you.

Tanzanian Meat Pie – $13.49

African-spiced Beef and Lamb in Warm Naan Bread with Kachumbari and Tzatziki served with choice of Side

This is for the adventurous and diverse pallets out there. To us, it tastes good, but there’s too much going on. It’s certainly not spicy, though it is pretty oily. The naan is mushy under all the sauce and oil while still managing to hold it all together.

The Tzatziki sauce was very good and paired perfectly with the meat. The problem we have with the meat is that the texture is giving taco, but the taste is more like a cheeseburger.

It’s good. It’s just not for us.

The flavors work really well together, and if you don’t mind the punch of the tzatziki, you’ll enjoy this more elevated option. We think it makes sense in Harambe Market, too. It’s not a huge helping either, so it’s an easy lunch for one or a split snack if you’re looking for something more interesting.

Texture and complicated flavor haters should stay away from this.
