The West Side Sassagoula River Cruise dock at Disney Springs never reopened following the COVID-19 closures. However, the roof has just been replaced.
New Roof at Sassagoula Boat Dock

During our June 25 visit to Disney Springs, we spotted a brand new roof on the West Side Sassagoula River dock.

The new roof is a dark-colored aluminum material. Nothing else looks different about the dock.

Pictured above is what it looked last week. The previous roof was taken off, and plywood covered the top.

The yellow turbidity curtains around the boat dock have been removed as well. The floating barriers were used to keep debris from spreading into the surrounding waterway.

At Disney Springs, there is only one Sassagoula operating boat dock. The Marketplace Dock is the one that reopened in 2021 following the COVID-19 closures. Neither The Landing nor West Side Docks is in operation.
Disney has not announced the reopening of this particular dock. Disney is gearing up to permanently restrict guests from boarding resort buses and watercraft at Disney Springs, so maybe that is a future announcement coming.
