From the Disneyland Railroad to the Pixar Pal-A-Round, dozens of familiar park sights welcome guests thanks to a new mural at The Viv Hotel Anaheim.

Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel Mural

The Viv Hotel Anaheim has unveiled an original Disneyland Resort mural near its front desk. The property is one of only five Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels selected to receive the exclusive art installation.

The mural is positioned just beyond the front desk and comes into view as they turn a corner. The placement is intended to make the artwork a moment of discovery and add another photo opportunity to the Disney-inspired artwork already found throughout the hotel.

Lynn Clark, vice president of sales and services for Disneyland Resort, spoke on the mural’s installation via a press release:

“For many of our guests, the excitement of a visit to Disneyland Resort begins at their hotel. We’re proud to bring that experience to life at The Viv with a mural that welcomes them to ‘The Happiest Place on Earth.”

The turquoise mural stretches across the wall and continues above the entrance to a recessed business center. “The Happiest Place On Earth” is written in large white script across the top, while the Disneyland Resort logo dominates the center.

A stylized collection of attractions, vehicles, characters, and landmarks surrounds the logo. The upper portion of the design largely represents Disneyland Park, with recognizable references including Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Disneyland Railroad, the Matterhorn, the facade and clock of “it’s a small world,” a Jungle Cruise boat, the Mark Twain Riverboat, Space Mountain, and an Autopia car.

The lower half shifts its focus toward Disney California Adventure. Grizzly Peak rises near the center, joined by the Mickey-faced Pixar Pal-A-Round, the red track of the Incredicoaster, the Carthay Circle Theatre, a Red Car Trolley, the Disneyland Monorail, a hang glider representing Soarin’, Flo’s V8 Cafe, and several other visual icons of Cars Land.

The icons and graphics throughout use a simplified, angular style with bright orange, red, yellow, purple, and green accents against the blue background.

Maria Evans, general manager of The Viv Hotel Anaheim, praised the significance of the piece:

“This mural is more than a beautiful addition to our lobby – it’s a moment of discovery. It reflects the same spirit behind every artistic detail throughout our property: an invitation for guests to slow down, look closer and find a little magic in unexpected places.”

Disneyland Resort sales representatives Jonathan De La O, Mike Fricke, Lynn Clark, and Jason McDermott visited the hotel for the mural’s unveiling and a photo opportunity with Evans.

The installation reinforces The Viv’s relationship with Disneyland Resort as a designated Good Neighbor Hotel. The hotel is located at 1601 South Anaheim Boulevard, approximately 1.5 miles from Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center. It offers 326 rooms and suites, multiple dining locations, two pools, meeting space, and rooftop views.

The four other murals following this design can be found at only four other Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels: Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance, Clementine Hotel & Suites, Hyatt Regency Orange County, and Element Anaheim by Westin.
