Another Heat Advisory Issued for Central Florida Today

The National Weather Service has issued yet another Heat Advisory for Central Florida, including Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.

Heat Advisories have been issued multiple times this summer, including yesterday, July 27.. The Heat Advisory for Tuesday, July 28, will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, and northern Brevard counties.

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are both located in Orange County.

The actual temperatures will be in the low to upper 90s. The heat index or the “feels-like” temperatures will be between 105°F and 109°F.

As usual, the NWS expects scattered afternoon showers and storms.

Stay hydrated and out of the sun if possible. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Check up on relatives and neighbors who might be at risk. And don’t leave kids or pets in cars.
