Disney has ordered a Disney+ reboot of The Mickey Mouse Club, their iconic variety show that began in 1955 and has run intermittently since.
The Mickey Mouse Club Reboot

According to Deadline, Disney has ordered a pilot for the reboot, with production starting this month in Los Angeles. It’s produced by Fulwell Entertainment, whose past Disney-related productions include The Kardashians on Hulu, Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl, The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl Live, and Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium.
The new cast includes Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, and Brooklynn Pitts from Disney’s upcoming Camp Rock 3, as well as Erianthe Akaata (Young Rock), Scarlett London Diviney (The Lion King National Tour, Wicked), Michael Cash (Black Rabbit), Yonas Kibreab (Elio), Varonica Mitchell, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty, and Carter Barnes.
Disney told Deadline the show will be a “showcase for today’s most talented young performers, where music, innovation, and self-expression take center stage.”
Fullwell co-founder Ben Winston executive produces the pilot along with Ashley Edens, Emma Conway, and Dave Piendak.
Walt Disney created the original Mickey Mouse Club, which ran for four seasons from 1955 to 1959. It was revived from 1977 to 1979 as The New Mickey Mouse Club and then from 1989 to 1996 as The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. A fourth version, Club Mickey Mouse, aired on social media from 2017 to 2018.
The ’89 revival famously launched the careers of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and Keri Russell.
