To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Jazz Ambassadors hosted performances yesterday, July 2, at Disney California Adventure.

A patriotic-looking sign outside of Paradise Gardens Park notes that “America’s Big Band,” the Jazz Ambassadors had performances at 2:15 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 5:15 p.m..

The band is performing in the courtyard across from Pixar Pier with special America 250 backdrops and decorations.

The Jazz Ambassadors, a 19-member ensemble formed in 1969, have performed in all 50 U.S. states, as well as several countries across the world. They are a subset of the United States Army Field Band.

Soarin’ Across America also opened at Disney California Adventure yesterday, though there were some technical issues.
