King Arthur Carrousel and Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition at Disneyland are now closed for refurbishments.
King Arthur Carrousel

Beige construction walls surround the carrousel under its canopy, sitting just behind hedges and fences. The walls are adorned with medieval-style pennants.

The Sword in the Stone is still open in front of the carrousel. The pennants are only on this side, creating a slightly better background for sword photo ops.

The walls continue all the way around the attraction, blocking the entrance and exit. A sign on a door in the walls reads:
A Proclomation
Hear ye,
Hear ye!All who come to this place shall…
Pardon our Pixie DustBy Decree of
The Royal Court

King Arthur Carrousel first opened at Sunnyside Beach Park in 1922. Disney purchased the carousel and moved it to Disneyland ahead of its 1955 opening, making it one of the oldest rides at a Disney park. The Magic Kingdom equivalent, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, is older, having been built in 1918.
The Disneyland operating calendar currently lists the carrousel as reopening on Friday, July 17, one day later than previously announced.
Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition

The shooting gallery is also surrounded by construction walls, but these resemble a wooden fence. Behind the walls is scaffolding covered in beige scrim.

The walls feature notices reading:
Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition is out of ammo.
Please visit other locations while we resupply.

Disney has not announced a reopening date for Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition. The Magic Kingdom version closed permanently in 2024.
