TRON Lightcycle Run Burnt Screens

Most of the screens in the TRON Lightcycle Run queue at Magic Kingdom now have images of lightcycles burnt into them.

The screens play safety information as guests wait to board the attraction. A host tells guests what to do with personal belongings and how to board the unique bike-shaped ride vehicles.

Most of the screens in the TRON Lightcycle Run queue at Magic Kingdom now have images of lightcycles burnt into them.

Now a lightcycle icon is burnt in across the image for the entire video.

Above is a side-by-side of a screen today with the screen damage and when the ride first opened in 2023.

In this image, you can see the static lightcycle image that shows on the screen when the safety video is not playing.

Screen burn-in is a permanent discoloration of an electronic display. It occurs when static images are displayed for extended periods, causing the specific pixels in those areas to degrade compared to the rest of the screen.
