Several new updates to the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster at Universal Orlando Resort from bioreconstruct on X give us a better idea of how the ride will operate.
Coaster Updates

In the above photo, bioreconstruct has numbered a few updates he noticed on a recent visit near the ride construction site. The switch track for the cars is above the yellow number 1. He believes cars will curve through the track section labeled 2, pass through the switch track, and then head towards and up the spike (out of frame left). After reversing and descending back down the spike, cars will pass back through the switch track and down the track, labeled 3.
The new spike element for the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster at Universal Studios Florida is a massive 170-foot vertical tower. The very top of the vertical spike features a distinct 180° twist.

The arrow placed by bioreconstruct in the above photo points to the sliding switch track; it is currently held down with bright orange straps.

As shown by the above aerial photos, bioreconstruct suggests that the coaster cars will go in a clockwise curve into the switch track, travel up the spike, and then back down before heading towards the station.

We can also see the switch track in development above.

Bioreconstruct also noticed that the flags were removed from the top of the spike. We noticed the Fast & Furious 25th anniversary and American flags in previous updates.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and is expected to open in 2027. One version of the coaster, however, will open soon at Universal Studios Hollywood.
