To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States this weekend, Disneyland Resort is hosting a special Fourth of July cavalcade.
The cavalcade was at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. today, Friday, July 3; and will happen again at the same time on Saturday, July 4; and Sunday, July 5.
Disney Celebrates America 250 Cavalcade at Disneyland

With Sleeping Beauty Castle as the backdrop, the cavalcade made its way down Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland.

The cavalcade started with two cast members holding a white banner decorated with red, white, and blue stars. “Disney Celebrates America” and “250” are printed across the front. Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Chip, and Dale walk behind the cast members while waving flags.

After the characters were a troupe of dancers dressed in casual outfits that primarily used the colors of red, white, and blue.

Next up was the main cavalcade float featuring Mickey and Minnie, as well as several singers. The singers were singing along to James Brown’s “Living in America,” and encouraging the nearby guests to sing along with them.

Mickey and Minnie, standing atop the float in front of a “Disney Celebrates America” display, were wearing the new patriotic costumes that they debuted earlier. The float had “Disney Celebrates America” and “250” signage around it.

Behind the float was a large group of various Disney characters waving flags, like Princess Aurora, Princess Merida, the Mad Hatter, and Alice.

The cavalcade then made its way around the circle in front of Main Street railroad station so it could go back down Main Street, U.S.A.

The sides of the cavalcade floats are decorated with red, white, and blue stars. The singers and Mickey and Minnie waved and danced for the audience.

Some of the other Disney characters we could see include Moana, Peter Pan, and Genie.

Pinocchio, Pocahontas, Geppetto, Aladdin, and Captain Hook were also present.
