The Peg-Leg Pete shoulder plush has been re-released online at the Disney Store. He was previously released last year at Disneyland, Disney World, and online.
Peg-Leg Pete Shoulder Plush – $27.99
Peg-Leg Pete, also known as the Barker Bird, used to be found outside of Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The animatronic was removed during the ride’s refurbishment in 2006.
The Pete shoulder plush is 5 1/2 inches tall. It features a magnet on the bottom, which attaches to a magnetic disc beneath your shirt to stay securely in place. The plush is covered in green fuzzy “feathers” with a yellow beak and matching left foot. Instead of a right foot, Pete is sporting his namesake peg leg.
Peg-Leg Pete has a black eye patch on the right side and is wearing a matching pirate hat with a red ribbon wrapped around its base. Pete’s left eye is fixed in a scowl, in true tough pirate style. On its belly, the plush has an anchor tattoo.
On the back side of the shoulder plush, Pete’s wings lie with three extended feathers on each side. His five tail feathers fan out from the rest of his body.
