As we reported a few weeks ago, this building near The Haunted Mansion was extended and then enclosed. The walls are now covered by Tyvek sheathing.

For several years, this building has acted as an extension of The Haunted Mansion queue. It was blocked by construction walls earlier this year and the adjacent Mike Fink Keel Boats landing was demolished.

In the foreground is the retaining wall that will run from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad almost to The Haunted Mansion. From a bridge near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you can see several tall sections of the uneven wall. Most sections visible from the ground have been encased in concrete.

In the distance, a short stretch of wall is visible right below the former Liberty Square Riverboat Landing. There are large piles of dirt in front of the wall.

The Riverboat Landing building will not be demolished and appears in concept art for Piston Peak National Park.

Some rows of rebar can be seen close to the Frontierland boardwalk. Much of the boardwalk is now closed for construction.

Further excavation is underway across the site between The Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Pipes stick out of the ground throughout the area.

Another excavator is in use right next to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
