REVIEW: The Plastered Owl & Frosty Moon Collide in Latest Viral Epic Universe Treat

Frosty Moon has released a new s’mores-adjacent beverage served in an owl cup, and one of our reporters tried it to let you know their thoughts.

The Frosted Owl – $15.99

Chocolate hazelnut and vanilla ice cream layered with marshmallow topping, graham crackers, and a toasted marshmallow served in a souvenir owl cup

The cup is supposed to be a clear one, but they ran out. The gold version of the cup is usually available at the plastered owl inside Oak & Star Tavern. I’ve never seen the spoon there, but the spoon is obviously related to the restaurant as it has the oak and the star on it.

The chocolate hazelnut ice cream is sweet with a light hint of hazelnut flavor. I wish the marshmallow was melted a little more; the top was very soft and sticky, but about a centimeter or two down it turned into a very solid piece. The graham crackers are what you would expect from out of a bag.

The presence of a very large layer of marshmallow down below was a nice surprise; typically it wouldn’t be if you could see into the cup, though. Overall, it is probably the most photogenic item from Frosty Moon, and one of the better hot-day treats at Epic Universe.
