Universal Orlando Resort shared a video first look at the 170-foot spike of the Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster. The new ride opens next year at Universal Studios Florida.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift Spike
The video “drives” across the bridge to Universal Studios Florida and then up to the spike, which was topped off earlier this month with an American flag and a Fast & Furious 25th anniversary flag. The first film was released in 2001.
Cars will twist 180° as they rise to the top of the spike and then descend back down into the rest of the ride.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, which closed last summer.
Fast & Furious Supercharged will close next month as Universal prepares for the new coaster to open.
Before it opens in Florida, Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift will debut at Universal Studios Hollywood.
