Tuesday, July 7 marked the start of Japan’s annual Star Festival, Tanabata. Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion of EPCOT marked the day with wishing trees, which guests could add their own wishes to and are now on display.
Wish Trees in Mitsukoshi

There are two trees, which can be viewed at the end of an aisle of t-shirts. Guests could only add their wishes to the tree for a few hours on July 7. But they will remain on display for a limited time.

The wishes are written on small slips of paper called tanzaku and hung on the bamboo trees.
