During a Monday visit to Seuss Landing in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, we saw Grinch-related decorations up outside Honk Honkers, confirming the Grinch meet and greet will return to this location from last year. We also heard that the Grinch meet and greet will not use a virtual queue this year, only a standby line.
Grinch Meet and Greet Details
The store’s windows are covered in yellow tarps and lined on the outside with garlands.
Signs on the windows say things like “No Grinch Here!” and “Go Away!”
The signs look like they were hand-painted by the Grinch and point at the Honk Honkers entrance.
Last year, guests were required to use a virtual queue to meet the Grinch, which led to many disappointed guests missing out on the opportunity. There was a sign outside Honk Honkers with a QR code to scan. That took guests to the Universal Orlando Resort app, where they could reserve a virtual line time.
Guests can also interact with the Grinch during The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast and see him re-enact his story during the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.” New Grinchmas merchandise includes a Spirit Jersey and Grinch sipper.
