Reopening Timeframe Announced for Jungle Cruise Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World announced an opening timeframe for the Jungle Cruise, which is scheduled to close for refurbishment next month.

Jungle Cruise will be closed beginning on August 26. Disney said in a statement that the attraction is “scheduled to reopen for Guests before the winter holidays begin at Walt Disney World.” The Disney calendar currently does not extend past September 10.

The ride is not among the attractions listed as open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, implying it might be closed through the start of the latter on November 8.

The boarding dock for the attraction was recently replaced and the temple was refurbished earlier this year. We don’t expect any changes to the ride’s story, which was significantly updated in 2021.
