Alexa, play “Tears for Fears – Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”

Hello everybody!  I hope you guys had a magical week.  I started not great this morning, but when I pulled into the Magic Kingdom toll plaza, the cast member (sorry I didn’t catch his name…) brightened my day with a joke about my Club 33 MagicBand.  Cast Members are magical and I really appreciate them every day.

Anyway, let the journey begin…

A group of people waits in line near a white tram in an outdoor parking area under a cloudy sky at the Magic Kingdom. An employee in an orange and yellow vest assists the group. Trees and parked cars are visible in the background, capturing the moment perfectly for any photo report.

Today I went to the Magic Kingdom.  When you arrive at the Transporation and Ticket Center, do you take a ferry boat or a monorail? I prefer to take a monorail because I want the air conditioning.

Two side-by-side images in this 2024 photo report show entrances to Magic Kingdom’s transportation options: a ferryboat entrance on the left and a monorail entrance on the right, both crowded with visitors.

The Emporium was pretty packed, but there was nothing new.  At the Confectionary, the candy apples have been outside of the showcase, but only in one variety.  We have not seen any of the “fancy” candy apples in a while now.

Photo Report 9/14/2024: Display of individually wrapped candy apples on a multi-tier stand in the Magic Kingdom's candy store. A variety of other sweets are visible in the background.

I want to warn my friends that the pavement near Pirates of the Caribbean can be really slippery when it’s wet. So please be careful! (Yes, our unofficial intern fell down here.)

View through an open door of a room, revealing a patterned stone and brick floor. The shoes and lower legs of two people are partially visible in the background, almost as if they were characters in a live-action scene from the Magic Kingdom PHOTO REPORT dated 9/14/2024.

Headed to Critter Co-Op, how many of you have adopted a light-up firefly?

A retail display at Magic Kingdom features plush frog toys in various sizes, a themed aquarium with frog ornaments, and children's clothing on shelves, all inspired by a popular animated movie. Capture the enchanting setup in your PHOTO REPORT before it's refreshed for new arrivals on 9/14/2024.

I did adopt him the day of the opening day, but I haven’t seen anybody wearing them in the parks after the first day. Mine is chilling at home.

I spotted Shaker just passing by Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

A person in a bear costume walks past the entrance of "Country Bear Musical Jamboree," a log cabin-themed attraction with a wooden sign and another person standing in front of it, all captured as part of our 2024 Magic Kingdom photo report.
A sign on a red door reads "106 Days Until Christmas," featuring festive characters including a snowman and a joyful figure in a hat, perfect for your Magic Kingdom PHOTO REPORT.

I know that a Florida Christmas isn’t quite the same as a traditional Christmas, but the park still makes me feel festive, even if it’s 90 degrees outside. I’ve tried heading up north (specifically to upstate New York) to experience some cold air during the holiday season, but every time I go, the temperature stays between 40 and 50 degrees. As soon as I leave, it drops below 30. It seems I must carry the sun with me! If you need warm weather in the winter, just let me know. I’ll bring some warm air from Florida with me.

A blue building with the sign "Memento Mori" above the entrance, featuring an eye symbol integrated into it. The door is open, and there are trash bins nearby. During our 2024 Magic Kingdom photo report, this eerie landmark caught our eye as a notable point of interest.

At Mememto Mori, they have the gargoyle diffuser and waffle maker if you are looking for them! The diffuser is also available online here.

A PHOTO REPORT from Magic Kingdom on 9/14/2024 showcases a display of Haunted Mansion-themed merchandise, featuring a USB-powered diffuser resembling a horned figure and mini waffle makers that imprint images of the Haunted Mansion on waffles.

At “it’s a small world”, it seems they maybe forgot to finish painting the load area, as this section outside Pinocchio Village Haus remains in the gold and white motif introduced back in 2005.  Of course, the rest was updated in 2021

Indoor amusement park ride with a medieval castle theme at Magic Kingdom; features arched windows, geometric designs, and a water canal with boats carrying people. Be sure to read our PHOTO REPORT on 9/14/2024 for an in-depth look!

Let’s see what Minnie Mouse Ear headbands are available inside Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland.

Even though I felt like the park was busy today, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique had  “Walk-Ups” available.

A sign on a pedestrian walkway at Magic Kingdom reads "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Walk-Up Opportunities Available Today," with people walking and sitting around in the background, captured in this 2024 photo report.

Since most people will rope drop TRON, I even considered doing that and then riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure after chatting with our unofficial intern yesterday. However, our boarding group was 9 and got called right away, so we didn’t make it to TRON. But I think that’s an ideal rope drop plan. I’ll definitely try it one day and share my thoughts and results.

I think it’s has been 332 days since Triton was removed from across from The Little Mermaid and he has still not returned.

A stone building with a rustic design stands on the right side of a paved area under a partly cloudy sky. People are walking and standing in the open space. Trees and a rock formation are in the background. This PHOTO REPORT from Magic Kingdom captures the scene on 9/14/2024.

Yes, we do care about these tiny things, because we are WDWNT

Today’s animal break : Pooh.

A person in a Winnie the Pooh costume walks down an outdoor path at Magic Kingdom, accompanied by a staff member in uniform. Several people and children are visible in the background, capturing memories for PHOTO REPORT dated 9/14/2024.

I feel like Sonny Eclipse was forced to go on a vacation, so they can keep this Disney Jr. Jam DJ booth on the stage for the rest of the Halloween season.

Today was a pretty slow Saturday, so I didn’t see much new in the parks, but I do have a story to share from yesterday.

A theme park entrance at Magic Kingdom features Halloween decorations, including two large carved pumpkins. People are walking and sitting in the foreground, and the sky is overcast, perfect for a 2024 photo report.

I always lose my car in the parking lot, but readers gave me a tip on how to find it. I did find my car at TTC, but my car did not turn on.  Yes, it was 100 degrees outside and my car DID NOT turn on.  My car is weird: I can’t open my trunk when the battery is dead, so I can’t take out my jumper cables, and not many guests are leaving Magic Kingdom at noon that I can ask for help jumping my car. I had to send off our unofficial intern to tram pickup/drop off to get help. 5-10 minutes later, a security cast member came and jumped my car! I of course remembered his name and sent a cast compliment.  So, if you ever have car problems, please talk to Disney Security.  They can help with battery issues, flat tires, and more if needed.

This is it from me this week! Will see you guys next week!

P.S. I went to Buc-ee’s after my Magic Kingdom loop. From the Transportation and Ticket Center to Buc-ee’s is about 1 hour and 15 minutes-ish, if you’ve ever wondered.

PHOTO REPORT 9/14/2024: Three images of Buc-ee's— the storefront adorned with the iconic Buc-ee's logo, a lively mascot suit inside the store bringing smiles, and a colorful billboard featuring the mascot near Daytona Beach. A Buc-ee’s visit feels almost like stepping into the Magic Kingdom of convenience.

Have a magical week!!
